Title: Spawning grounds
Post by: Lazlo Falconi on October 25, 2005, 03:25:12 am
Based on Swift's thread about Emureactor, I decided to look around for the first forum I ever joined. Geheh... I was such a nard back then.
Click he (http://www.chronoshock.com/community/member.php?u=282)re to see my old profile, which hasn't changed since 2003.

So, can any of you find your original forum?

Original Forum? Damn right I can, I still go to it. Though, I didn't start foruming till almost a year ago, so it's not like that's a feat of endurance or anything.

Nick vs. Andy (http://www.nickvsandy.com/) There you can find comics, and whatnot, and a link to their forums. Thoguh because of recent events (I.E. Homework) I've stopped going for alittle while, and it seems to have died.

But, there you have it.

this, happens to be the forum full of christians I do believe I've talked of before. That doesn't mean they're bad, or evil, or anything like that. Just, well, kinda hectic when I say something like "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!1" Ya know? That always starts some trouble. And we've discussed all matters of God, several times over. XD

It is probably not the best idea to run around yelling that anyway.

Indeed.

http://www.emureactor.dk/community/profile.php?username=swiftman

Swift's Emureactor profile = outdated, but much of it true still, like Privateer being my favorite game..... My internet being stupid dial-up.... and, well, the heartfelt speech about DOS remains after the.... what, year or two nearly that it's been there? Iunno.

But that's me... heh. Emureactor was grand...... Then popups came.... And n00b after n00b after n00b, asking for GBA roms..... and N64.... and zsnesw roms. [made me XD] And also the place was very harsh on my poor modem.... TPH is infinently superior to Emureactor.

Swift, I clicked that link, and had to block four attempts of spyware being put on my computer. It is save to say I'll never go to Emureactor.

A long time ago, back when jv2k was just a child at the tender age of 12 his home gained a computer. At first his internet access was limited due to dial up, but he had heard from a friend of these things called emulators.... his life would change from then on.
I became an internet junky eventually but my first message board/forum, was http://www.edgeemu.com/ . It was there that my mastery of computers and emulation would grow exponensially. It was an awsome site in those days(even if I was a punk kid) it had alot of good people, and it introduced me to tons of other sites(none were notable except for the original romsource). Evenutally things changed though, the rules became more stringent and asking for any roms beyond the SNES years became against the rules, eventually after asking for megaman 8(yes megaman 8, and for saturn no less, not PS1) 3 times, I got banned. It was really opened me up to other placed though, and helped me find other ways to occupy my time. So it was worth the ban.

Really? I only get one.... Oh well, Emureactor never was that good in terms of speed and safety, anyways. [damn, it sure messed up Filbert.... I needed Firefox then]

Actually, after posting that I proceeded to get about 20 more attempts at spyware.

No not nice, no one EVER stays at their first forum! They always leave and the forum explodes. Just like edge emu did, with their pop ups, and crappyness, and foolish rules.

But that point is lost, mainly because this is my SECOND forum, and I can't even remember my first.

Kind of like high school.

I got banned from my first actual forum ever(Megaman matrix...grammar nazis), but the one I actually got my good start at was PMM, but that's been pretty much vandalized and rashed and thrashed and destroyed, so I really have nothing else than that, and that leaves ToE as my third forum, the one that still stand as I like it. *kefka laugh*

I got started around 1999 or sometime like that.  I was only in...damn, I think 7th grade, and I made my own website, which I managed to update and keep some fesh media on untill like, 2003, when I finially decided to kill it, because interest in the site dropped after 2001.  People quite going, and I was like, well, so what?

Now its either lost in the anals of cyberspace, or more preferabley, deleted by geocities.

I later joined PMM in late Feb of this year, right after I turned 18, and well, I've left there.  I was never really liked much there, but thats where I met Drifter and Cortez, and became apart of MMtL, the only place on the net I like to call home.

I believe that was my first.  With almost 700 posts I was pretty active without ever playing paintball much.  I need to get back into it.

Then very shortly after that I joined at Fantasyanime.com, but my first (horribly newbish) posts were deleted by the great forum wipe.

That was Wave Race 64 that you are thinking of.  I was talking about the real deal.  You know, reality?  Oh yeah, I think I am the only one here to know what that truly is.  *snicker*  Well, maybe Nate.

Heh...

The most important thing I learned in life: unless your somebody, nobody gives a shit about you.  Doesn't matter how hard you try to get recognized, if you don't have money, if you don't come from a "dynasty," if you're parents and relatives don't control "the system," no matter how much work or effort you put into anything, nobody will ever give a flying fuck about you.  I remember when I learned that in 5th grade.  Ever since then, I've had nothing but contempt for society.  "Oh, don't bother with him, he's just a poor boy from a poor family, lets just put him in the retard class because he'll never amount to anything."

So why don't we all just shut the hell up and talk about something else, because nobody cares.

This is true.... But also, I spend a lot of time in my forest, which is RIGHT beside my house. In fact, it encircles my house.... Hell, my house is made of wood, so it should constitue as part OF the forest!

In Kary's sake, she's been to my place enough times to constitute as part pwner or something.... Kagemitsu and Broom too.

Faris's house is in the edge of a really small village, and it's not in good shape, btu in her case, reality runs deep in her. Too deep....

Iunno, I'm just a farmboy computer nerd. An odd combination for an odd person that has odd friends that are on an odd, yet still great and vastly awesome forum...
