Protoman, I noticed that below your anem you have 'Godlike' there. Is there a way for us to get one of those too? *imagines what Trigger's and Lazlo's will be...*

Usually on phpBB when somebody's a mod or admin, you can have something other than the usual "Moderator" or "Administrator".

Oh. I jsut thought that rank names would give this forum a bit more 'variety'. TPH could be even more uber than it already is.

IPB can do it, so I'm sure phpbb has some sort of functionablity in this area. Maybe it can only be done from the ACP, by asking protoman very nicely, but I'm sure we can all get them.
It's funny, I was just wondering about this yesterday...
Mine would probably be Hawtness McSexyPants or something stupid like that.

Ew.... Uh... Remember Lazlo, only 2% of the TPH population is female, and I can tell you 2/3 of that population won't like taht much.

But whatever. It's your rank.

At one other PHP forum I go to, if you get enough posts you can have a custom rank name, so it must be possible. (it says phpbb at the top of the screen)

Another forum I go to has a 100% male population (except a few females which come and stay for a month or two, and then leave) and none of them minded.

Why, the same one I use at all the other forums when I get a title.

I remember when one of the forums I go to, got hacked by some guy, and EVERYONE was made and admin. And a bunch of people gave themselves custom titles.

And I know invisionFree can do that as well. So I'm sure it can't be too hard to do.

only problem i have with giving y'all custom titles is that if i give them to some people, then i would be expected to give them to everyone, which i just can't do, assuming the forum continues to grow. sorry, everyone.

So... Make it so when they're a newbie, they only have a set rank, like "n00bius Memberius" sorta thng, but when they hit 100 posts (or something) they can customize their rank to how they want.

I dunno. I just think it'd be a cool idea, protoman. Is it possible, even?

I have too, but those forums were hosted on phpbb sites, not a privately hosted server like TPH.

But yeah, make it so users have to earn a custom rank, then people should be happy.
