Yes i herd it for a long time and i thought it will be for gamecube.
But its not, it's one of the starting line up's for the revolution.
and the chars. thats going yo be on it is really big and looks really good.
-
Sweeeet....... LUCKY THING I GOT DIAL-UP!
-
Here's a list of some of the chars. that '' Might" be on there and most likely everthing behind it
http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/launchfansite.asp?siteid=82294
-
click on the chars. to see there moves
-
I didn't see any pictures of characters. (is Firefox working up again, BLUH!)
-
swiftman got it now just enter the site
-
Nothing's been confirmed as of yet (I'd know if it were) but as far as we know, it's going to be titled Super Smash Bros. Revolution, which of course is just a working title. The only things we know for sure are that it's oging to be launched with the Rev, and have WiFi access.
-
what is wifi access
-
WWOOOO! RIDLEY MAY BE A PLAYABLE CHARACTER!
-
Same thing the DS has, it means you can connect your Revolution to wireless internet, provided you already have a broadband connection and a wireless router, or a WiFi hotspot, but try bringing your Rev to Starbucks.
-
Starbucks? Screw that, take it to A&W
-
Does A&W have WiFi access?
-
please lazlo falconi contact me on msn i want to know more
-
Will do, but I don't know what I can explain to you...
-
WWOOOO! RIDLEY MAY BE A PLAYABLE CHARACTER!
If they put the Kraid clone from Super Metroid in there, the world will be happy.
-
That guy'd be a little slow though, and he probably wouldn't jump very high... But he'd probably be strong as hell..
-
Yeah.
And what would his ^ + B attack be?
-
Probably something weak, unless you hit the enemy just right...
-
I'm not gonna trust this site now seeing that it's not official (Note the launchFANSITE in the URL). We'll just have to wait and see, though. But seriously, the dog from Duck Hunt?! This is only my opinion, but if you had to ask me, this site has
F-A-K-E info.
-
Pretty much nothing's been confirmed, that site's all just speculation
-
Ridley would be damn cool to see, though.
-
Indeed, but I still think he'd be too all powerful.
-
of course! That's what makes him cool!
-
But all the characters have to even out, or else everyone wants to be Ridley, and fights start. Most people don't know this, but Nintendo games get very competative.
-
Maybe he can be a boss character.
-
Yeah, like Giga Bowser? That'd be pretty awesome! But they'd have to have some cool sequence where he comes out of nowhere and takes Master Hand out with one hit, then you get to fight him.
-

Fox...for...life...
Reguardless of their Strength, Skill will ALWAYS be better. And when you have reached such a level of Skill as I, it doesn't matter who your oppenent chooses to be. Cuase I always know how to beat each and every one of them.
-
imagine fighting as boo, you could only attack when people arent facing you, but you're invincible to them if they attack you from the front
-
Lure them in, roll around behind them, and unless they have reflex's equal or better then mine (yeah right), they'd be helpess.
-
I said those chars. '' might'' be on there(meaning not sure).
But one can hope.
-
idk trigger, rolling and attacking takes about 17 frames and just to simply shield takes 4 frames and turning around takes 6 frames (these times are the average character movement times).
maybe the new controller will have a setup so that you can play as Goro and use his four arms independently
or maybe you can be the Owl from Mario 64 and pick people up and drop them off the level
-
Yeah, Ridley as a boss would be sweet!
And it sounds like Ridley can do what that owl does.
-
what if some of the levels were partially underwater?
everything would have differnt physics, and everyone would have infinite jumps since they could swim (except kirby and jigglypuff since they require air)
-
That'd be a neat change. And Ridley wouldn't be able to fly as good (if he's playable) and would have to resort to flapping heavily to push water down, etc etc
But yeah. underwater levels sound cool.
-
Actually, Kirby can swim, and I'm sure there's absolutly nothing stopping Jigglypuff. In fact, Jigglypuff would probably float...
-
yes, but the new physics involved with underwater battle would drastically change things.
-
That's exactly the point I'm making.
-
what if you had to come up for air whilst fighting or else you take damage?
there should be low gravity levels too
and, you know Brinstar Depths and how it rotates? well the should be a level OPPOSITE of that so you fight on the inside of a rock or whatever instead of fighting on the outside of a rotating object
-
Have one level like that crow boss on Yoshi's Island, where the whole place rotates and stuff. Hard as that would be, it would be insanely cool.
-
yea if it wsa just a big loop with occasional holes in it so that you can KO people.
imagine having like 600 damage and not dying because you're inside a circle just bouncing around
-
Maybe have those stomping posts that you have on the boss fight. Time it right, instant KO.
-
WOW! Im completely blown away by the possible players list. Little Mac from Punch-Out, Stanley from Donkey Kong 3, but what the hell can laughing dog from Duck Hunt do? I'd kill to see these guys in the game still, it would be a blast to use Little Mac to beat the crap out of Mario. What's the point of adding all the different variants of Mario, Luigi, and Pokemon? the seem like fillers to me. The three characters I want to see is Ash, Sonic, and Tails. Now THATS the SSB I want to see
-
Sonic and Tails will never, ever, ever, ever, ever be in a Smash Bros game. Deal with it, it's just not happening. However, it would be possible for Ash to be in one, with the exception that he's a total wuss.

Hey, if they'll let Jigglypuff, and Mr. Game and Watch in, Whats stopping them from having the greatest pokemon master of all time! His attacks would be, Brocks Donut Throw, Poke'ball Throw, Victory Punch, Excessive Whining (simular to Jigglypuffs singing attack)
As far as the Sonic, and Tails thing goes, it COULD happen. Someday, kids are going rest easy knowing that Mario, and Sonic have finally kicked eachothers asses. So keep the dream alive!
-
Nope, won't ever happen. They may do a Smash Bros vs Sega crossover, but it won't really be Smash Bros.
-
No, Smash bros has to be Nintendo, not anyone else.
-
That's exactly what I'm saying... -_-
-
maybe, 50 years from now, there will have been so many sequels that EVERY nintendo character is in it (including goombas, pirahna plants, those flying things that you can get the cape from in SMW, or even a whomp)
-
in 50 years you could probably BE the character via holograms. I'd LOVE to be Samus for an hour! HA HA!
-

Took the words RIGHT outta my mouth.
-

For all we know about Revolutions, that may be true next year.
-
haha yea but in the tournaments you really die in real life and if you win you get to use some of your character's powers in real life (i wouldnt mind a reflect shield or falco punch or grapling hook or psychic powers)
-
Do you mean C. Falcon's Falcon Punch?
-
yea imagine punching someone with a flaming hand and having they fly away with a smoke trail while an audience goes OHHHHHHHHHH
-
Man, that happens to me on a daily basis.
-
HA! That'd be awesome if it was true, Lazlo.
-
what a lame site, Duck Hunt dog. . .
To be honest, I probably won't like SSB on the Revolution. Sure they could tone down Fox, Shiek, Marth, Peach, Falco and Falcon so that the game is more accessable. But I don't think it will be as good; far too much to screw up. Like what if it's not longer 2D? Bleck.
And what if they took out wavedash, wouldn't mind losing Lcancel though, that's kinda irritating. As a competitive SSBM player though, I'm afraid of them royally screwing the game over.
-
they should make wave-dashing just a bit easier to close the gap between newbs and pros
and EVERY character should have awesome secrets like Samus (aka using grapling beam to back back on stage, doubling length, homing grapple beam)
-

Come on, you know the laughing dog is golden! I was thinking of some other possible charecters.
Paperboy
Kid Icarus
The actual ducks from duck hunt
The cardboard stand-ups from Hogan's Alley
Pac-Man!
Donkey Kong Jr.
King Hippo (Punch Out)
p.s none of these are serious...except paperboy, and Icarus.
-
HA! That'd be awesome if it was true, Lazlo.
Who says it isn't?
By the by, Kid Icarus isn't his name, it's Pit.
-
Does anyone have this trophy from SSBM?
Stanley in SSB is long overdue.
-
Yes, yes I do. I have every random trophy.
-
I wanna play as Stanley too! It would be fun to spray bug spray in people's faces.
-
Try Mr. G&W
-
I wish I could add Simon Belmont, or the kids from Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Better yet, Rick from the Splatterhouse series. Sadly, there not Nintendo :(.
-
Bah! Simon is too old. Juste or Julius should do the trick. Or why not Soma. Wat are the Chances of Puting the Battle Network Megaman in the game?
-
Zilch, sadly. All characters thus far have been from Nintendo. No characters from either Konami or Capcom could find entry.

Tiger

Simon Belmont too old? No way! Look at Mario, and Luigi their at least pushing 50 (not in release date years lol) Look at Hulk Hogan he's still taking names on wrestling (eh, not really.) Simon can compeate against anyone they would throw at em'. I would kill to see Battle Network Megaman in a SSB. Since that will never happen Nintendo should just throw in Pit, Little Mac, Ballon Fight guy, and Stanley, and call it even.
-
Which Simon are we talking about, the one from I, III, or IV? Either way, they'd all be over 100 years old by now XD.
-
while they're at it, have tetris blocks as characters (with slam being one move, and deleting anyone in the same line as them as another move). how about a nintendog and wario and birdo and waluigi and baby mario and diddy and dixie kong and conker and slippy and peppy and andross and the star wolf team, along with any othe character that hasnt been proposed yet
-
Simon wasn't in III...
-
Im fine with whoever else they put in, but please Nintendo. NO MORE MARIO, AND LUIGI VARIANTS! I mean come on! Do me really need any more Marios, and Luigis!?! I'd rather see Tetris blocks than Tanooki Mario, or Ghostbuster Luigi.
Make way for some new blood! Like...

PETER MOTHER F**KING PEPPER!...sorry for my behavior
-
XD Burger Time was such a badass game!
-
Screw Simon! I say bring in Alucard ^_^, and even if you would want to bring in megaman (me as much as anyone) I don't even think it's gonna happen with him being copyrighted by Capcom and all O_o
-
Simon wasn't in III...
Oh yeah, that was Trevor, nevermind XD. I just remember Simon was in I, II (Even though that was the same Simon) and IV, so I just thought of III at the moment.
-
It's been so long I can't remember which ones he was in exactly, but all the Simons in the Castlevania games are the same. He's been brought back from the past to fight Dracula before, and also Dracula has been brought back prematurely, which is what's allowed Simon to get so much action and be the most famous of the Belmont line.
I must say, though, I've quite a liking for Alucard. Did anyone play his audio blurb in their CD player, if you had the PlayStation disc? That's always good for a laugh.

That site is complete bogus. There is NOTHING AT ALL comfirmed in Super Smash Bros. Revolution EXCEPT that it will go online. NO ONE knows the characters, stages, gameplay, music, controls, or release date. That site is trash...
-
yea and look at the thread its produced so far
but its still fun to talk about
what if there are no return characters, everyone would be back at square 1
-
Aside from the new characters, items and stuff, Melee is a REMAKE of the n64 one.
-
Wow, really? I didn't know that except for the fact taht they completly redid the game, updated the graphics, gave it new characters, new moves, new items, stages, mechanics and pretty much everything int he game, it was a remake. Wow.
