There is in a sense, and in the long run it is worth ripping.

But actually, some of those "new songs" that you guys speak of are in the rips Protoman has done of the Rockman Complete Works, because they simply reused Power Battles tracks instead of creating remixes.

But yes Protoman, they are right in the sense that there is definitely a different style (more like inferior style since it's CPS1 sound hardware versus CPS2) and some exclusive tracks.

Has anyone here played Paper Mario:The Thousand Year door? If you haven't BUY IT NOW! It is the best game of 2004 (even better then MMAC). It's also extremly funny.

I'll agree that it's a pretty fancy title...but better than Megaman Anniversary Collection?

Don't get me wrong, I don't think MMAC is better.  In fact I think that it's way out of Paper Mario 2's league.

While they are ports of great old games, the actual "new" parts brought to the table by Atomic Planet were terrible glitches, weird hindsights, and crazy logic with system exclusive extras.  In that sense it failed for me.

But with all of that rant out of the way, you can't go wrong with Paper Mario 2.

Cartoons / Does anyone here know about the soundtrack album?
« on: February 09, 2005, 04:57:14 pm »
They're honestly not ALL bad I guess, but they used to play most of these songs as the credits music for second season.

And believe me, in that context, none of them work.

And I think even from a standalone view, the last song is just plain terrible...it's like the Title Theme except any smidgen of life it may have had is drained.

That said, it's apparently pretty easy to still order the CD.  Don't think anyone ever ripped it.

EDIT: Here ya go, Amazon's marketplace is fairly trustworthy:

too bad i don't own it. :/

I own the game, so I could honestly do it if ripping it with the RCA audio to stereo headphone cable would be good enough.

I'm too lazy to click the link and hate GI so PLEASE TELL ME IT WILL BE ON GCN!!! I will cry is it isn't.

I was wondering this too, being an avid GCN fan.

But alas, the trailer gives no console specifics.

So that means that A and B won't be switched!  Thank God!  Although I did get used to it over a period of a few days after I got it (I got it in July so I'm pretty used to the controls on GCN now).

That was actually my smallest gripe seeing as how with a little "electronics magic" you could fix that problem.

But yes you're very correct.

are we (americans) finally getting it or something?

It's an extra on the Megaman X collection.

EDIT: Oh and "breaking news."  Atomic Planet, the same people who butched Megaman Anniversary Collection, will NOT be making this port.  It's being done "in-house" through Capcom Studio 1.

To me, Tetris is like an TV

it never runs out of ways to entertain me

I could understand the dullness of it, but somehow it never loses its polish for me

That's probably a good analogy for you, but TV programming seems to bore me quiet a bit.  Tetris is great fun for me almost always.

But I guess the games I play on the television are pretty entertaining.

It's really simple, anyone can do it with a few "extra tools."

At Radio Shack and other electronics stores, you can get a cable that takes the red and white stereo analog input cables (sometimes referred to as RCA cables) and converts them into a headphone stereo jack.

However, he may be using his capture card software.  These are usually a bit more expensive and also come with the bonus of recording video input.

You can learn more about capture cards at www.videohelp.com.

MFGG......doesn't ring to much of a bell.  What's it stand for?

If it doesn't ring too much of a bell, this probably won't help:

Mario Fan Games Galaxy.

I have Tengen Tetris. =D

Lucky.

Here are two...well...blatantly illegal ways to enjoy Tengen Tetris away from your PC.

First, go to the mall and check those weird independent stands.  You'll find cheap knock-off pirate systems that plug straight into your TV and contain a lot of weird things like HK originals and game hacks.  They almost ALWAYS have Tengen Tetris...not to mention funky names like "Super Player Joystick" or "PSKid."

The second and in my opinion much more enjoyable way is with a copy of NesterDC.  NesterDC is as you probably know an emulator for NES on Sega Dreamcast.

The only reason I bother mentioning these two is because they both offer fairly nice "2-player" options since the pirate systems almost always have a 2nd joystick and Dreamcasts usually come bundled with one too.

And we all know how important 2-player is when it comes to Tengen Tetris's Magnum Opus...COOPERATIVE!

There's no need to really rip anything from emulators in the future since Heatman of www.planet-megaman.com seems to have good tabs on emulated rips.

Protoman is where you come for the "warmer" AKA greater stuff.

By the way, Megaman and Bass did not have a sound test.
