Title: R.I.P. Sony and PS3
Post by: neothe0ne on September 06, 2006, 06:47:22 pm
100,000 units for launch in Japan.
400,000 units for launch in North America.
In November 2006, Europe will have 0 units for launch, because Kutaragi decided to fuck them over and make them wait till March 2007!

Did I mention 599 USD, and the Wii's DQ and FF launch titles?

Fixed for the sad, sad, truth.  It's the only game I see ANYONE looking forward to on that console, myself included, but I'm not paying $600 to tie up some loose ends in the MGS story.

Fixed.  None of those are launch titles, and are the only 3 games I've actually heard people WANT for PS3.. but is that worth $600 + $60/$70 per game?  Methinks not.

Sony is missing TWO Holiday seasons in Europe.  They're practically not having a holiday season in Japan, seeing as how the DS can outsell PS3's launch supply two-fold in one week.  And the US... let's just say 360 and Wii will be more popular.

QUITTERRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and besides. remember that FF7 demo that they made and they said they weren't going to make it. what was the point of that?

I'll tell you the point!

they were saying, "we've got the strongest franchise in all of gaming history, and we don't even need to use it. you think you've got a chance of out selling us, amaturs? don't fuck with us, bitches!"

I mean seriously. its like they set up a eccenomic bomb and waiting for the right time to pull the trigger. any moment at any time that the PS 3 comes out.....

KABOOMSKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and there's also the PSP sales and don't forget that PS2 lab top thingy. by the way, what is that? I saw a picture of it on the cool gagets section of tips and tricks and wondered what the heck it was.

That was a tech demo that's probably never going to happen.  It was only made to show the capabilites of the system.  If it were true, then FF6 would have been remade on the N64, and FF8 would have been remade on the PS2.

Final Fantasy VII needs to die.  It's nowhere near the best Final Fantasy game and the spinoffs and merchandising are an absolute travesty to the franchise.

I'll start us off, then.

Dead Rising, Halo 3, Gears of War, Symphony of the Night...

As well as a much, much better online system than Nintendo (If only VC games were online like Live Arcade)

Halo 3 seems overhyped like the other two though.  Halo was pretty good, Halo 2 wasn't so great.

I still say 360 is going to end up being the PS2 of this generation.

Xbox 360 games are way to expensive, I saw Lost planet, i played the demo and it looked good but the real game was around 50 dollars (Most of the 360 games are around there) But what the hell? Seriously most games are not that price.

Super Paper Mario = $50

Most games of this generation = $50-60

Most games of  most generations = $50

DO THEY SPEAK ENGLISH IN WHAT?

If you're in Holland, you're in the Netherlands, and if you're in the Netherlands, you're using Euros, and if you're using Euros, then you're spending a hell of a lot of money for a game if it's 69.95, let alone 79.95 for a game plus a headset. (69.95 Euros is what, $100+ over here?)

From what you heard? Wow, you had better learn your own currency if you really do live in Europe.

For future reference:

1 Euro = 1.3555 U.S. Dollars

Or:

1 US Dollar = 0.7364 Euros

From what you heard? Wow, you had better learn your own currency if you really do live in Europe.

For future reference:

1 Euro = 1.3555 U.S. Dollars

Or:

1 US Dollar = 0.7364 Euros

After the introduction of the euro, its exchange rate against other currencies fell heavily, especially against the U.S. dollar. At its introduction in 1999, the euro was traded at 1.18 US$/€; by 26 October 2000, it fell to an all-time low of 0.8228 $/€. The euro then began to recover, rising to nearly $0.96 by the beginning of 2001, but declined again (although less than previously), reaching a low of 0.8344 $/€ on 6 July 2001. The euro then began steadily appreciating, and reached parity with the U.S. dollar on 15 July 2002. For the past three years, the euro has remained above $1.15.

On 23 May 2003, the euro surpassed its initial (1.18 $/€) trading value for the first time. At the end of 2004, it reached a peak of $1.3668 per euro (0.7316 €/$) as the U.S. dollar fell against all major currencies, fueled by the so-called twin deficit of the US accounts. Although the US trade imbalances are heavily tilted against East Asia rather than Europe, East Asia's reluctance to let their currencies rise has led to the euro rising in its place. However, the dollar recovered in 2005, rising to 1.18 $/€ (0.85 €/$) in July 2005, and was stable throughout the second half of 2005. The steep increase in U.S. interest rates during 2005 had much to do with this trend.

By early December 2006, the dollar fell below €0.75, hitting a low of 0.7495 €/$ (=1.3340 $/€), slightly more than 3 cents away from the record low it had set in late 2004. On April 13, 2007, due to the continuing weakness of the US dollar, the euro was mere cent away from reaching its all time high.

It seems you where right, anyways i live in Europe i dont live in America :P so i know what a euro is i almost dont know how a dollar looks like :P except they are green :D
