DS sucks. no one at school will buy the PSP cuz it costs too much. they always go for the cheap DS. and when I bring my PSP to school, they get jealous and make fun of it, saying that they didn't buy it cuz you can look up porn on the PSP. saying stupid stuff like
"its too dificult to operate the PSP with one hand."

Fixed. They both suck compared to Game Boy before them, but DS definitley has more worthwile games. PSP has around 3, two of which are remakes (Mega Man), and one is already available on PS2 for 50% of the price (Liberty City Stories)

Fixed for clarification. Haha I only posted them because the guy is hilarious. I don't really care what you think (no offense).
But SY is right. Unfortunately, my PSP was stolen last year and all I used it for was emulation (which kicked ass).

(Reposting)
Indeed, I consider the DS more worth the money, I don't plan on spending well over $200 for a PSP and the only 2 games that look good (Megaman: Powered Up!, Maverick Hunter X).
Also, Lol@Same guy bashing both systems.
-
actually, there are lots of games worth buying for the PSP. games like "Ys the ark of napishtim" and "Generation of Chaos"
also, I can download songs directly from TPH to the PSP. it also works for Blue laguna too.
-
And Lumines, which kicks hardcore ass with its soundtrack
And surprisingly, Mercury. I bought it and its pretty fun.
-
Neither of them suck.
-
The PSP is worth it for the emulation alone. There's ISO loaders, SNES, NES, Genesis, CPS1 and CPS2 (X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Street Fighter Alpha, etc.), Neo-Geo, Gameboy Color/Advance, and more. I use it almost exclusively for that since the actual game lineup can be lacking at times.
-
Emulators? on the PSP? I've never heard of that. how is that done?

Very easily.
Its the same as using an emulator on a computer, no different.
-
Uh, dosen't this belong in the VG forum?
Meh, DS is worth the money. PSP has cool features, but it's way too much fucking money.

That it...does. Good call.

It's only 250$. not that much compared to the PS3. plus they did A LOT of work to make the PSP perfect.

I bought one back in the day, and I still think its just a bit expensive, and definetly not perfect. If was perfect then $250 wouldn' be expensive. Still good nonetheless though.

I still love that it can extract and download songs directly from the internet. the only thing the internet feature is missing is macromedia flash player and a key board.
-
I can download things from the internet directly to my DS as well. It's called a flash cart, it holds about as much as the cheapest PSP memory sticks, and costs half the price. The navigation is makes sense, as well, with A being accept, and B meaning back, none of this X and Square crap. My DS also has features like buttons that work, and no shitty analogue stick. Also games.
-
suprisingly, the analog stick is amazing, but if its not your thing, you know they give you the choice of the stick and the directional pad on the far left side of the psp.
there are plenty of games for the PSP, not nessasarily as advertised as DS's, but they are good. go to best buy or gamestop, they'll have a huge selection of games and movies.
when I said that the PSP can download directly from the internet, I didn't mean that i had to connect the psp to a lab top via a cable and extract them. I meant I can go online, click on the link for the MP3 or Wav and download it directly. sometimes it will download even faster then a dell computer with only 1/3 of the connection, which is amazing for a PSP and sad for a dell.
and that's X and circle, not square. and don't you dare for get about the triangle. and no one could forget about L and R.
-
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that the biggest arguments when it comes to DS and PSP aren't about what, you know, actually matters, the games?
-
*waits for a DS emulator to come out for PSP*

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GRAFICS, NOOB!
-
ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC NOOBS!!!!!!!!

ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC NOOBS!!!!!!!!
The PSP is the worst music player I've ever seen. Creative Zen Vision:M > all.
-
PSP costs too much, has very few worthwhile games, and did I mention it costs too much. Seriously, two hundred and fifty bucks for a small handheld console, that is seriously lacking in the good game department. That's fucking stupid.
-
haha It costs as much as a Wii
-
But Wii is not a handheld, fwel.

...yet.
And plus it technically is kind of hand held since you hold it in your hand. Its just that you cant take it places b/c you only have the buttons and no screen or cpu when you hold it

With that being said, pretty much EVERY single video game console is a handheld, then.
