hmm my favorite game ever, I can't say.
Super metroid was REALLY great but one of the best games ever was probably Zelda OOT. Great game brings back memories even haha
-
was mega man 7 for a long time ... has since taken second place to metroid prime.

It really depends on what I'm feeling like. For a time, it was unreal tournament. Few months ago, it was starcraft. Sometimes it's r-type 3 for SNES (I'm thinking of recording the music from that game and submitting it on tph. That music is wonderful.) My longest running favorite would definetly have to be Descent, for dos. Wonderful game. I think it's THE first full 3-d game ever (ie: rooms above rooms, unlike doom.), and it's really very well implemented. for 1994, that was slick.
-
Super Mario Bros. 3, as I mentioned in the other topic.
-
1.Tetris the Grandmaster 2 plus
2.Tetris DX
3.Tetris for GB
4.Megaman Series
5.Super Smash Bros

Final Fantasy 1. Love that game. Dragon warrior's good too. For non-console fav, it'd be doom. I still have my old dos computer with a built in 14.4 k modem that me and frineds use for doom/descent parties.
For a newer game, I'd definetly have to say the Front mission games. (in particular gun hazard for snes) I LOVE mechs! They're so cool! So basically if it has a mech in it, I'll love it. I guess that's why mm x3 is my fav megaman. Lot's of mechs in it.

Final Fantasy V and VI, Dragon Quest III, Mega Man X1-6, Super Smash Brothers Melee, and TimeSplitters 2. I'm going to step onto a thin branch, but I'll add TimeSplitters: Future Perfect to the list even though it's not out yet ;)
-
Wow, this took me 2 seconds.
1. Final Fantasy VII
2. Final Fantasy V
3. Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars
4. Tales of Symphonia
5. Harvest Moon BTN
These are my favorite favorites but uh, i'd have to go with Mario RPG as my most favorite...
-
My favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy VII.
-
Hehe, can't choose ONE favorite. But everyone knows me as the "Dynamite Headdy" guy...everywhere I am. Some other favs are Final Fantasy II (AKA IV in Japan), Super Mario Bros. 3, SMW 2: Yoshi's Island, Megaman II, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Animal Crossing, Chrono Trigger (See what happens when you get me started?!)

For just simple stupid fun, add Goof Troop to the list ;)
And the best game of them all.. FLASH FLASH REVOLUTION!!! :)

I was always a big fan of Startropics for NES. (I like River City Ransom too, but not quite as much. But since knowing Swiftman, I really like Liero, Doom, Descent, Dune II, Starcraft, Gunstar Heroes, Metal Warriors, and a bunch of others. I used to only know of the NES for games, but Swiftman taught me otherwise.
-
Glad to be of help, kag.
I need to update my list:
1. Privateer (dos)
2. Descent (dos)
3. GUNSTAR HEROES! (genesis)
4. Starcraft (PC)
5. Axelay (SNES)
6. Marvel vs. Capcom (CPS2)
7. Liero (dos)
8. Abuse (dos)
9. Metal Warriors (SNES)
10. Front Mission Gun Hazard (SNES)

For good NES fun: Pirates! (you should print out a map though), Zombie Hunter, Nightshade.
For sexy SNES fun: Yuu Yuu Hakusho Tokubehuten, Dragonball Z: Super Butoden 2 (learn to play it first though...there's actually quite a bit to know), Earthbound.
For horny inducing N64 times: Dr. Mario 64, Goemon's Great Adventure (unlock 4 player for mass fun), Pokémon Puzzle League (just Tetris Attack but still fun)
For bringing on Gameboy boners: Donkey Kong "94" (or the remake Mario vs. Donkey Kong), Dragonball Z Supersonic Warriors, Super Puzzle Fighter II X (or something like that.)
I TRIED to avoid putting in blatantly "underground" games in my lists, but these are games that I believe don't get a terribly large amount of praise and should give you an interesting experience.
-
I really like to play Starcraft, but I'm not very good at it. I'm pretty new to it, and i'm learning it pretty good. I'm not near up to par with Broom or Swiftman, though.
-
i like (1) bloody roar ';,;' (2) FFXI (*^^)
(3) marvel vs capcom "you know you liked it" and (4/5) armored core/castel vania
i'm sure there's more
-
Wow, Marvel vs Capcom went up your list pretty quick, didn't it? I suppose with a playable character named Morrigan...
-
As you can probably tell, Final Fantasy 1 for NES. It's where my namesake is from. (I also really like Metal Warriors, River City Ransom, Starcraft, and GUNSTAR HEROES, just like Swift and co.)
-

MEGAMAN X games! IM DA BEST!! i think!! WELL THATS the BEST for me!!
-
Megaman Legends will always be my favorite game of all time. I got emotionally attached to that game. For almost 3 months I was Megaman. I cried at the ending, and enjoyed the interactivity of the game. I would kill for another game like that. A close, close second is Pokemon Gold. Had the same interactiveness of Legends, but didn't pull me in all the way.

Megaman X
other than that now would have to be Super Metroid, I <3 that game so much now
