I'd say Swift is right on with that one. In Descent you are not glued to the floor, you are able to go to every part of the room (assuming it's not filled with something harmful) and look at every other part of the room at every angle.
Ever fought upside down on Halo? I think not. Surely you'll say that space sims have done it; however, that was the brilliance of Descent. You're still confined in the level.
That being said, Descent still isn't my favorite game or anything though.

Well, it would really vary depending on the person. How much acidity their saliva has, if they have smaller or larger licks. I'm sure someone could do it in under 1,000 licks easily.
edit: oh yeah/. the movie, it looks mediocre to me. I'm tired of hollywood failing horribly at making intelligent movies. Remember I Robot? *shudder*

I've never really understood how someone can be like that. I'll admit its akward as hell when you meet someone who is "different" but actually hating them for reasons with which they can't change is downright disgusting. Best not to talk about it really.
Jehuty, I feel for you. I know so many people that are simply gamer wannabes, I mean people like different games, but I can't stand close-minded morons that can't even acknowlege the fact that 2D games can be challenging. WTF?! How does the way you view the graphics make the game any harder or easier?

X-Men vs. Street Fighter? And I thought Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was unbalanced.
Which reminds me, there was a XMen vs. Street Fighter machine at an arcade that had a bad joystick and 3 of the punch/kick buttons were pretty bad. The fierce didn't even work at all. pretty funny playing it though.

I believe he's going off the post you made about not playing most of them. Unfortunately I have no idea what point he's trying to make. FF is just a case of brand name selling multiple sequels that aren't actually sequels.
Personally I don't want to even try playing any of the new ones. I will admit to playing IX though, it was dorky and fun. Horribly easy though.

What's so cheap about 4 frames of lag on a fair? and a really fast dsmash that will eat through any shield? And uber priority turnips that can be rethrown? And the ability to float in general?
Not to mention double jump cancel.
I see nothing cheap there. -_-
