I do believe it is a disc based game. Perhaps you mean CD-ROM?

It's emulated on MAME.

"Dreams" by Van Halen!!!!

We'll get higher and higher
Straight up will climb
Higher and higher
Leave it all behind
Oh, we'll get higher and higher
Who knows what we'll find

So baby dry your eyes
Save all tears you've cried
Oh that's what dreams are made of
Oh baby we belong
In a world that must be strong
Oh that's what dreams are made of

And in the end
All dreams will begin
Don't ask what love is made of

Lyrical and musical masterpiece!

General Games / Street Fighter The Movie

Sure, the game is based on a movie that totally sucks that's based on a game that kicks ass, but this is one of those instances where the game sucks so much that it ends up being unintentionally funny. Oh man, this is comic gold.

Here's a link for reference:

It's like Capcom couldn't give us Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat, so they made a Street Fighter game that was like Mortal Kombat. I hear that Capcom only published it though, and Incredible Technologies developed it.

General Music / Looks like Atlantic Records went back to their old logo.
« on: October 03, 2006, 05:22:54 pm »
Okay, I bought JET's new CD at Best Buy just a few minutes ago, and I looked on the back of the case, and I saw the classic Atlantic logo we all know and love:

And I didn't see THIS crap:

I wasn't sure of where to post this, so I posted it here. Anyway, I'm glad they switched back to their old logo. This is good news (for me at least). Now Atlantic needs to drop that no-talent clown "James Blunt", and then they'll have regained their credibility 100%.

Cartoons / Ian James Corlett's connection to Queensryche
« on: September 26, 2006, 12:55:31 am »
One day in late '05, I was looking at the booklet for Queensryche's CD "Operation:Mindcrime", and under the "Thank You" section, I saw Ian Corlett (the voice of Mega Man in the US cartoon, and Dr. Wily in Captain N), and that same day, I sent an email to Ian, and I asked him:

Quote
Hey Ian, I saw your name in the "Thank You" section of
Queensryche's CD "Operation: Mindcrime". I really like that album. How did
you get involved in it? And what did you work with the band on?

About a day or so later (not sure how later), I checked my inbox, and Ian replied saying:

Quote
I programmed some of the drum tracks and helped them with some computer
sequences.
I sold them some music gear in the old days and they were rehearsing in an
abandoned theatre here in Vancouver.

Good eyes!

IAN

Man, this is so cool! The man who does the voice of the Video Game and Cartoon Character I've idolized since I was 10 was involved with one of THE BEST hard rock albums ever made! I didn't really get into this album 'til late last year. I got interested after I saw the video for "Eyes Of A Stranger" on VH1 Classic, which was also later last year. And at the time, I didn't know the album told a story (like "Tommy" by The Who, or "The Wall" by Pink Floyd), but when I did, I got more interested in it, and I was anxious to get the album, and it wouldn't be long before I did! Anyway, our Blue Bomber has a connection to this awesome album and band! I still think "Eyes Of A Stranger" is the best song on "Operation:Mindcrime".

Not what I actually expected, but it gives me a BRILLIANT idea.

What didn't you expect? And what's the brilliant idea?

These were my top 10 rankings of the 21 they give you:

That's not bad I guess. At least Original MM made the top 10, and an MM that I like is actually #1, but I can do without what I got for 3 and 6 anyday.

Cartoons / Unreleased episode????

Back in 1997-ish, There was this MM page called Eddie's Mega Man Page or something (don't remember the name, it was long ago), and it had pictures of an unreleased episode where Protoman decided to help Mega Man stop Dr. Wily, and then it showed another screenshot, and I don't remember the caption, but I think it was something like "Wily's fortress is destroyed, but where's Protoman?". Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Too bad. Would've been a great nostalgic trip to help me to remember what it was like back then.

I'm listening to it now for the first time ever. Good stuff! How's about we throw in some songs from the Mega Man cartoon show soundtrack album? But I mean stuff that's not available in the stores anymore or the songs that not to many corporate scum are worried about, like Extra Fancy's "Sinnerman", Mr. Big's "Take Cover" or The Bucketheads' "Got Myself Together"? Just a suggestion. After all, they are linked to Mega Man. There's some good songs on TPH Radio already, but I'm just making some add suggestions. If you need any of those songs, I'll be glad to send 'em to ya.
