holy crap today I hacked my PSP, put an NES emulator on it, and now im playin my Megaman games on a PSP
if my memory car was bigger, id have a Sega emulator and SNES
-
I knew you could do this for a while, and now I want a PSP....just to get an emulator for it. I honestly hate the PSP games, haha. I heard you have to overclock it or it'll go really slow, though. Well, you ARE playing NES. Maybe the overclocking was for Sega/Super NES.
-
I'll just stick with my NES emu for GBA. Cant' wait untill the SNES one gets a little better, then I'll have that at all times!

NES Emulator on GBA? O.O tell me more, please!

It's called PocketNES, but I use PogoShell with a PoketNES plugin, you need a Flash Cart which you can get pretty cheap. I have a 512MB cart that I bought for $70, it can hold PogoShell, and I have ten or twelve NES games on it, as well as Pokemon Blue, three GBA games, and part of Snowcraft. Still lots of room to spare. Just go to gameboy-advance.net (http://www.gameboy-advance.net) for all the info.
-
The link doesn't work ;o;
-
Sorry, I forgot the site, it was GameBoy-Advance.net, the link works now.
The site's kind of hard to navigate though, so just remember to use your back button a lot.
-
Lazlo, can your GBA support .rtf files? It's a pain going through Snowcraft in notepad, entering everyline and stuff. IT'S A RIGHT PAIN IN THE ASS, MATE! PLEASE tell me the GAB can support .rtf or .doc files....
-
No, only TXT, but you don't have to enter it line by line! Just copy paste the whole thing! I doesn't have to look pretty, I'm the only one who's going to see it anyway.
-
well, you'd hate to have to scroll to the side every line, right? Just wanna make ti easier on you.
-
No, GBA has auto word wrap.
-
DING! Sent.
-
Yhey! Now I get to rebuild PogoShell! Oh well, it's worth it, I needed an excuse to put more roms on my cart.
-
Put River City Ransom on your cart. It's a sweet NES game
-
You know, I see mention of that game, and every now and then I think about getting it, but for some reason never do. The Wario Ware MicroGames make it seme pretty fun, so I guess I could go grab it...
-
Good man. Get it. It's great fun.
-
It's in my root folder, now all I have to do is decide if there's anything else I need...
-
Put Vice Project Doom in htere too.
-
ok everyone
you DO have to overclock the PSP to get the SNES and genesis to work well. right now they run slow (the sonic games run fine if you turn frame skip on)
-
Even though you have to overclock them, I heard you can do that in the menu or somehting.
-
yea and it works great
-
Ok, DS is on hold, I'm getting PSP first, XD. That is until Animal Crossing and Super Mario Kart DS come out.
-
yea my friend was here while i did it, he IMMEDIATLY went out and bought one
if you wanna play NES, SNES, GBA, GB, and Genesis, get a PSP
one problem is that you'll have to get it used b/c it only works on Firmware 1.50. Anything newer is worthless
im'a get a gig memory card, get a PSP emulator, and use it to play PSP games on my PSP and therefore never buy games (eventhough ill need WAY more thana 1GB, plus itll take years before a worthy emulator is made)
-
There will never be a PSP emulator meant to run on PSP, and if there's one for a different handheld that PSP can emulate, it would be buggy at best. Just get a modchip for it.

Really? Wow! That sounds cool! I'd like to try that! Of course, hacking is a bad thing, but he fact about megaman NES games on the PSP sounds cool. I bet the anniversary collection will come out. hahahahahaha.
-
Do you know wat i want... An DS Emulator!
-
god.
i have other things to spend money on.
must ... not ... buy ... psp.
must ... not ... *fingers twitch toward credit card*
-
Blaze, at www.zophar.net they have a simple DS emulator. No roms, and the emulator isn't perfect, but it's there.
Protoman! Bad! *smacks hand with ruler* Bad Protoman! Don't make me get Kary to smack your wrists with MUCH more than a pidly ruler!
-
GBA-Source (http://www.gba-source.com/) has a DS emulator, and roms 0001-0012. </shameless plug>
-
Wait... there's only gonna be 9999 DS games? That sucks.
-
There aren't even that many GBA games, dude.
-
MAN OH MAN OH MAN! YOU GUYS RULE OVERALL. Not all but alot. 80%
THANK YOU!
-
I can think of nearly 10000 games that'll play on a GBA.
-
Hmm... Damn it! My Ds Emulator wont work why!
-
Bladegash, GB and GBC games aren't counted in the GBA number system, just as GB, GBC and GBA games won't be counted in the DS system. Currently there are 2076 GBA ROMs, and that counts different language copies.
-
Hmm.... I want to kno where i can dl Ds games? If possible.
-
*looks up eight posts*
-
boff... Game source is a bit decent
-
I swear once the FCC finds out, your ass is grass.
