Mega Man games are fun, but the only acutal cart I've ever played was MMX1. Sad huh? But I have played via ROMs and Anniversery Collection MM1-3, 7, 8, and that arcade one. The only one I've ever beaten was the first.

X4 without a doubt, not only does it have the best Zero in it, but it has music that rivals all the other great songs in the series.  As far as the anime cutscenes go. . .

And yeah, I've beaten all the Megaman games except for the first one...sad, isn't it?  Dr. Wily annoys the hell out of me.  X-wise, I've beaten X1, X2, X3, X4, and X8.  X5 I haven't beaten beating Sigma is freakin' hard, and X6 because of Gate, and X7...because it sucks.  I'm surprised I played through X8, I hated X8 as well, heh.

That's the hardest one, in my opinion.  Way back when, I beat every Mega Man and X game released in America, but stopped playing the X games at X6.

X4 hands down, I never got around to buying a PSX right after it came out so I was unaware of X4's release until my friend showed me it at his house. I just like it better because well.....I dunno it's just more fun I guess lol, X4 has those sweet anime cutscenes, and it was a jump from the 16 to 32 bit so of course I was amazed XD. So yeah I would choose X4 over X5 anyday.

Sadly, I have yet to play either game (although I have the music from both games), but that will all change once the Megaman X Collection comes out.

To be honest, and I know I'm gonna get laughed at here, but I thought the music in X5 was quite a bit better than the music in X4.  X4's music was still awesome, but X5's music was just more diverse.

I actually liked the music in X5 a bit better as well, although the game overall I didn't like as much.  Even if it was not so, to each their own hmm?  I will not tolerate intolerance!

I see where you're going, and X5 had an awesome soundtrack.  But personally, I like X4's better.  Too bad X5 sucked, that game got too hard, too fast.  You beat the 8 Mavericks with so much ease you think you're going to beat the game without breaking a sweat.  Then comes...Sigma's stages.
