Well, if you beat the third game, it shows that Proto Man was built first. It is believed that they were both built by Doctor Light and Doctor Wily and Proto Man had simply left or something so they made Mega Man.

"Doctor Wily, I say! Proto Man seems to have run off again!"
"FOOL! I told you we should not have given him free will of any kind!"
"Well, excuse ME if I was just doing what the doctor ordered!"
"You're not making sense!"
"No, YOU'RE not making sense!"
"We're building another one and this time it's going to be a slave! A SLAVE!"
And so they did. But this slave couldn't be persuaded into joining the evil ranks of Doctor Wily and his endless army of robots as he made off with all the robots working in the Doctors' lab!
You have to wander why Doctor Light joined forces with such a sneaky character as Doctor Wily.
"So... Your resume says that you've been known to constantly backstab everyone you have ever worked with! But are you a good listener?"
"Of course!"
"YOU'RE HIRED! Let's build a bunch of powerful, threatening robots together, new bestest buddy!"

Cartoons / What's your favorite episode of Mega Man?
« on: May 01, 2005, 09:58:00 pm »
Why, the first and second, of course! Why, you don't ask? Well, minutes ago I told of my story on how I had come to see the Mega Man cartoons. The only episodes I had ever seen, however, were the first and second, because they were both on the VHS video tape I had bought! Years, YEARS later, I watched part of an episode or two on some show that was... <Blank> Family or some such. It has since been canceled from that channel as well, but I can watch them on this wanderful website!
After I watched the Mega X, however, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss and, yet again, that wanting for a time machine. I wander whatever happened to the people who made that show...? Did they die? Make more cartoons very loosely based off of video games that never had a very obvious plot anyway? Did they make more accurate shows fit for television? WHO KNOWS?
They probably do.

Cartoons / What is it that you'all like about the Mega Man series?
« on: May 01, 2005, 09:42:39 pm »
I remember, way back when (I was born in 1990, don't know how old I was, most likely 4 - 6), I would watch my brother play Mega Man 2 on his Nintendo Entertainment System. If I tried, I would fail miserably. He, however, dominated it, but I never did see him beat the dragon.
Anyway, I had always said, "One day, they're going to make a Mega Man cartoon!"
And so they did! Imagine that. We were at the movie store and I spotted the movie case for the first two episodes of the Mega Man cartoon.
"OMGWTF!" exclaimed I, although before the Age of Internet Lingo, and I begged for my mother to purchase this containment of divinity itself.
"BUY OUR TOYS!" shouted Doctor Wily in the preview for the action figures made based on the series.
"Proto Man is evil and has big muscles and if you press a button, he SHOOTS A FIREBALL!" Yeah, awesome! But I got a Mega Man action figure. I think I met someone who had the Proto Man action figure, however.

IN CONCLUSION...

I loved the show because I was a little kid and it was based on one of my favorite video games! (Even though I could hardly hit anything.)
Watching the episode of Mega X today really brought back memories. Anyone else ever wish they had a time machine?

People come here?

Sorry.

I was linked here when I was searching for the original Mega Man cartoons because I've been itching to see the one with Mega Man X in it. And so I did. But the website seemed really empty of any sort of community and looked a bit forgotten.
