FINALLY figured out how to do a direct extraction rip of the PS2 Mega Man Anniversary Collection!  It's long overdue...

All I have to do is time the songs (grr..) and tag them...

General Games / The mystery of stupidity...

Halo and Halo 2 got amazing review scores for a game that fell under the radar. Halo and Halo 2 is almost as underrated as Ninja Gaiden. I can't believe most of you guys fail to see the beauty of Halo and Halo 2. They brought more innovation to the FPS genre than any other game. Dual wielding is one of those marvelous feats, now I know other games have done that before, but they really perfected it with Halo 2.

Halo 1 also made vehicles fun in a FPS. Master Chief is the most original character I have ever seen. I got goose-bumps when he said "give me a weapon" in Halo 2.

....

Halo and Halo 2 got amazing review scores for a game that was overrated.  Halo and Halo 2 brought noinnovation to the FPS genre besides having aiming reticules the size of Jupiter for machine guns.  Dual wielding is far from perfected in Halo 2.  Master Chief is the most unoriginal character in the history of the entire universe.

I mean, I have yet for someone to prove me wrong:  Master Chief is really a girl with a deep voice.

Nintendo Revolution
-Disc drive plays 12cm Revolution discs and 3in GameCube discs
-Smallest console
-Wireless controllers for Revolution (has four controller ports for GameCube controllers)
-Nintendo WiFi, free of charge and "better than Xbox Live", and WiFi ready out of the box
-Ability to download Nintendo first-party games from NES, SNES, and N64 free of charge; third-party games from NES, SNES, and N64 can be downloaded for a fee determined by the third-party
-Graphics by ATI, processor by IBM, includes 2 USB 2.0 ports
-Has the support of at least three major third-party developers, which include Square Enix and NamcoBandai
-Launch title will include Super Smash Brothers Revolution

Microsoft Xbox 360
-Can play both Xbox and Xbox 360 games according to MS
-Xbox Live (not free)
-Xbox 360 controllers are the same as Xbox S controllers, minus the black and white buttons
-Graphics by ATI
-Launch title will include Perfect Dark Zero

Sony PlayStation 3
-Cell processing
-Can play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games according to Sony
-Has no PS1/PS2 memory card slot (wtf?)
-Supports seven controllers through wireless Bluetooth
-Graphics by nVidia, 6 USB 2.0 ports
-Developers are assuming they can make PS3 games as good as pre-rendered movies shown at E3 (but they didn't say they were pre-rendered until after they were accused...)
-Has the support of Factor 5 in addition to many Japanese developers
-Most expensive and bulkiest next-gen console
-No known launch titles (that would interest anyone, at least ;))

General Music / WHAT THE ****!!!
« on: May 09, 2005, 04:19:16 pm »
What the F*** did Gearbox do to Halo PC's music??!  They seperated all the songs into 5 SECOND LOSSY OGG VORBIS CLIPS.  Jesus Christ.....

How the freak do you combine lossy music files?  I don't want to lose quality through copying, pasting, and then saving...

Music / Anyone who owns Mega Man X7 come here
« on: April 17, 2005, 07:19:02 pm »
Recently (the past few minutes, after a long day of otherwise unfruitful research) I've learned how to rip a certain form of PS2 streamed audio.  I successfully converted Mega Man X8's audio into waves, and am in the process of editing them to replace the rip I previously uploaded (I like my own work over others' ;))

If anyone owns Mega Man X7, could you insert the disc into your computer and find any and all files with the extension .AFS?  If you do, I'd appreciate it getting into my hands ;)

Music / Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith - SOUNDTRACK LEAKED!
« on: April 09, 2005, 07:55:16 pm »
I think I'm gonna have to fudge over normal procedures here.  The official soundtrack to Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, has leaked.  The music is a LOT better than Episode II's, so what are you waiting for?  Grab it NOW! :)

*edit*
Okay, don't grab it now.  Haven't finished uploading yet ;)   Seems I jumped the gun waaay too early...

About myTPH / Concerning music not ripped/recorded by ourselves....
« on: March 31, 2005, 08:27:16 pm »
Recently, I've noticed something happening more and more often, and I myself would like an answer to the problem....

Protoman, what is your take on uploading music that wasn't ripped/recorded by the uploader, but obtained through BitTorrent or other means?

General Music / XA tracklist for Tekken 3?
« on: March 23, 2005, 08:17:03 pm »
Okay, I have Tekken 3 for PlayStation 1, and it has 50 XA tracks on the disc.  Does anyone have a tracklist in the order of the XA files?  I'd hate to have to leave it to Protoman to tag the files (as they're already timed much like MMX4), and if they went on without tags, it wouldn't look great....

If worst comes to worst, could someone listen to my untagged files and see what names and track numbers they should have?  (I know there's extra tracks than on the official soundtrack, just tell me...)

About myTPH / What kind of "Other Games" music would be allowed?
« on: March 07, 2005, 04:28:13 pm »
For the Other Games section, we have some obviously non-Mega Man mp3s.  Would you just accept anything that sounds good and is rare and unique?  (I have in mind Star Wars Rogue Squadron III Rebel Strike, which can't be found anywhere but has some pretty good music, with less rehashes than other SW games)
