Title: Mega Man X Collection
Post by: neo on February 12, 2005, 08:44:19 pm
Capcom is currently working on a "Mega Man X Collection" for GameCube, PS2, and Xbox.  It contains Mega Man X1-6 plus Rockman Battle & Chase.  Most likely, there will be remixed music.  Protoman, make sure you save money and buy the game for at least one playform. :D

X1-X3 is gonna have the remixes. (Though Capcom's gonna use the Gate stage song fro the 2nd fort theme...)

Then I'm guessing that...

-Tidal Makkoeen/Duff McWhalen's theme will be replacing Bubble Crab's
-Sigma #2 from X6 will be replacing Sigma #1 in X1
-Rangda Bangda from X5 will replace Vile from X1
-Dr. Light from X5 will replace Dr. Light in X1

And maybe more...

I heard X8 was pretty good.  I have yet to play it, though.

I doubt that's why they didn't put them in though.

It really boils down to the fact that those are "next generation" games that wouldn't fit too well in a retrospective collection.  Not to mention they're probably friggin' huge.

Also notice Capcom's careful avoidance of the word "anniversary."  Granted I'm pretty sure it isn't Megaman X's anniversary, but I think they also avoided it since that term sounds a little more all encompassing than just collection.

With all of that taken into consideration, I'd still like to see X7 or X8 possibly packaged as a "bonus" game for preordering.  Especially if they were Gamecube ports.

If capcom do that. I hope they can make them optional. (I have nothing against remixes XD)

A different kind of random than normal TPH style, though......

I sure hope not! There's actually a good possibility (and i'm hoping) that Capcom will really remix the music because it's them doing the project, not Atomic Planet.
