Title: BitTorrent?
Post by: Swiftman on April 06, 2005, 11:02:12 am
I have a question. All the original andother game music is on bittorrent, so I clicked the gunstar heroes torrent link (of course) and I saved the file. But, When I opened it, it had that 'which program do you want to use to open this file?' screen.

What do i use to open bit torrent files or, heck, what do I do period?

Thanks in advance.

from the music main page:

Quote
you will need to get a Bit Torrent client in order to download the music.

download a client there and install it. the .torrent file should open in the client and the rest should be self-explanatory.

ah, the blessing of bittorent
SOOOOOO many movies and games have been downloaded because of it, plus its virtually untraceable

I got Reason 2.5 off of it

Oh! An Axelay fan! I wanna record the music from that, but it's hard.

Are you gonna keep them bittorrent Protoman, or restrore them to the way they were? Cuz I listen to the site all the time at school, and they bust me if I install anything besides winamp. If I put bittorrent on them, I'd get in a pretty large sum of trouble.

well, if you want to listen to something not on the day that it's posted, i guess try to write down what the url to it is (the .mp3 file) and then paste that into winamp. the files are all there every day, it's just that i block access to the link pages, in order to kill the vast majority of potential traffic.

also, you could just listen to tph mm radio. ;)

Oh... that would work, pasting the URL's. I never thought of that. Where could I find the url? View source? No, wait. That's for seeing the coding behind tha page. Where could I find the url' for the SSBM and Gunstar Heroes music? (Turns out I like SSBM music a lot more than I thought I would.)
Also, my school blocks internet radio. I don't know why, but they do.

Thanks in advance.

On a day the page isn't blocked, copy the URL into notepad or something...

How do I do that, though? I always use the little popup window and not a full window. How do I get the URL for, say, Gunstar Heroes Orange battle?

its really easy to make it a full window, it doesnt take any time at all

first open up the main page in the tiny window. right click and add it to your favorites. now open the internet in a full window and click on THP in your favorites folder. from there, you can go to any page and copy a filename or whatever

Right click > Copy Link Location
(for Mozilla Firefox)

IE is very similar, right click and it's there.

Ah, gee. Thanks Neotheone! It works like a charm!
Can someone please give me the url to starcraft terran 2 song? I don't want to have to wait two days until the other games are free again. (I'm collecting the url's in notepad, so I can access them when I need to.)

Thanks in advance.
