Hi, and fighting games
« on: July 24, 2005, 04:40:55 am »
I haven't officially introduced myself.  I'm Peaches from a little place called fantasyanime.com and otehr vestiges of the net.  A few of you know me, several don't.  I like old school games despite only really playing since 2 years ago; favorites are shooters, fighting game,  and RPGs.  That's about it really.

Anyone here like fighting games; as in competitively?

My favorites in no order are Soul Calibur II, SSBM, Guilty Gear XX, and SF 3rd strike.  My best is SSBM.

I'd put this somewhere else, but I figured I might as well make fighting games thread. . .  *Web swings out*

Hello, Peaches, although we've seen you around, it's good to formally welcome you. As Herb said, loving SSBM makes you instantly accepted, however, being good disqualifies you from the tournament.

I was never too big on fighting games.  The ones I really like are Mortal Kombat II and Dark Alliance, Super Smash Bros. series, Killer Instinct series, Tekken 2, Virtua Fighter series and some Street Fighter.

Well, everyone who knows what a fighting game is knows of Street Fighter.

I myself have played and liked: Marvel vs Capcom, Smash Bros (64 version) Street Fighter EX2 Plus (used to have it)

I really wanna try bloody Roar out, but I don't have the resources to play any of them.

And hi, Peaches. Normally I tend to introduce people to TPH, but I guess in this case Faris did. Liking SSBM and Treasure games will make you instantly likeable, and you have that covered with your kick ass sig, so I think you will be well respected here. (though you don't have a huge amount of posts on TPH like you do on FA to help impose your presense.)

Street Fighter has and always will be my favorite fighting game. Ever. It was one of the first games I got for my Snes. Ah. Good times.

Since I am slow as a slug riding a turtle, I like games that have simple commands, not many buttos letting me concentrate in my strategy (no matter what kind of game I play, my mind is that of an RPG player >D) So I like controversal games to which no one dares playing much u.u

-Destrega - Great system, similar to the one in Xenogears Arena battle, but medieval
-Eretzvaju/Evil Zone - Great game with nice storyline :)
-Psychic Force 1 and 2012
-Rival Schools >D
-Jojo`s Bizarre Adventure XD
-Pocket Fighter
-Soul Edge

I love you, my plincess =^.^=

I was a Captain Falcon guy, myself. "Falcon.... PUNCH! Falcon kick!" After playing him a while I couldn't stop going "Show your moves." Falcon's great..... But Kirby is good too. Falcon or kirby for me.

And as many know, I haven't played Melee, so I don't know what Falcon is like in it.

Falcon's just like he is in the original, in fact, I think his tuant is still "SHOWMEYOURMOVES!" The only difference is he's a lot faster. A lot.
Anyway, in SSB I could never be beaten as Link, but now I use Fox and Falco interchangably.

I like Falco, his laser is so awesome and unlike Fox I feel like I'm actually hitting the opponent.  Peach is my favorite though.
