The recommended image formats are JPEG (.jpg) CompuServe GIF (.gif) or .PNG (.png). Bitmap (.bmp) formatted images will probably not show up.

You must host the picture on a picture host server. If you just find an image off of Google, copy and paste the URL from there, that is called direct linking or hot linking. It steals bandwidth from the site that you linked the image from, and is frowned upon cuz stealing = teh bad.

Also, some websites use a special code. If someone direct links an image from their site, the image comes up as, "K DON'T DIRECT LINK, FWEL. KTHANXBAI"

Therefore, you need a seperate site to host your pictures; I sugges either Photobucket or Imageshack.

After you have had the image hosted onto a reliable image hosting server, copy and paste the URL in between these tags: (Make sure you don't have any spaces between the URL and the code. Otherwise, it won't work.)
