Title: Classic 2D Sonic homebrew action
Post by: Swiftman on November 04, 2005, 01:41:08 am
In lieu of Draconis's thread there, about 2D or 3D Sonic games, I found this.

http://www.reloaded.org/download/Neo-Sonic-Universe/105/

It's a homebrew game, but from what I saw from screenshots, it looks VERY good.

But it's 7.8 megs, so I can't get it.

I wonder if they have WIndowsBOX or soemthing... Like DOSbox, but for windows... That'd be good for a lot of old Win 3.1 games, at least.

Or just run Windows 3.1 out of DOSbox...

Windows 3.1 wasn't really an operating system like Windows 95 or XP, it was just an operating environment, a DOS program.

Does it mean you don't understand what I'm saying.

Ok I mean The GBA Format is like 16 bit. & The SEGA Sonic 3 & Knuckles expansion Is like, 32 bits. The GBA looks Cartoonish.

The graphics do appear to be a little, hmm what word do I seek, childish. In the original sega versions (gen., dreamcast even gba) the graphics appeared with that fuzzy look to it.

the clean cut, flat bright colors of neo sonic just appear wrong in a sense. Although the gameplay is pretty accurate to the original, (i think let me dig up the original and see if it still works for a in-depth comparison)
