You probably need some sort of codec.

What are you trying to play it with?  You may not have the right codec fro it.  IIt's an avi file.  I'm not really sure if it matters what you compress it with (the uncompressed version is 2 gigs), but I used virtual dub and compressed it with something called Intel Indeo (trademark) Video 4.5

If you read the thread DarknessofHeart just owned me in terms of what i do wrong.  I full jump WAY too much, plus i need to learn to pivot, and I try to spam moves like I'm Shiek or Spamus.

Jute got MAC'D.

How can one play avi's on a Mac? Maybe somehow convert it to a .mov format. That's a big Quicktime format.

I'm going to watch it in Windows Media Player, just to spite Jehuty.

Oh, and also because this computer doesn't have WinAmp.

Ouch, you DID get mac'd.
Ok, I use divx or VLC, but i doesn't know if they'll work with your mac... both of them only has Mac OS X, and with divx you can't have quicktime 7. VLC needs quicktime on your comp, but that shouldn't be a problem.
DivX (http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/)

VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html)

DivX looks better and has skins.
VLC freaking plays every media known to man.

Both have full screen options; just double click the video.
DivX is better there, because you can pop up a mini-control by clicking when on full screen.

Downloading divx gives all players the codex, I use nero showtime for my viewing needs(and its better!).

ALT+Enter > Double Click.
And all players have that mini controller. Or at least, all that I've used.

VLC doesn't. That's it's only bad point; to pause, stop, ff, etc., you have to un-full screen.

hey, guess waht.  IT's in divx now.  So it's easier to play

use Divx player if you can't get it to work normally.  Man I suck at Smash.  I've gotten really burned out lately due to competition being so hard to find.
