If thats the video I saw a while ago...I think they say Mario is more known then Micky Mouse...I laughed.

Actually, it is true that some video game mascots have been, at times more popular than Mickey.  I do know that Sonic the Hedgehog was one of those, but I can't say I'm as certain about Mario...

...and besides, who got their own HUMAN GENE named after them, eh?

Mickey doesn't have his own gene, though.

Mario is actually as well known as Mickey. I wouldn't say either is more well known, however.
Soon to be a major motion picture!

No, he is. Think about it, although Mario is big, Disney is bigger. Mario doesn't have his own theme parks, or his own channel, or his dozens of shows and movies.
Micky has been around for about 70 years, Mario has been around about 20.

Monkeydog has a bit of a point. Even though Nintendo is milking the mario farm like crazy, 50 years is a while to catch up to. That will take a lot of mario tennis sequels

I didn't say who was more succesful, just they're as well known as each other. If you say Micky Mouse, the same ammount of people will respond as if you say Mario.

Mabye in America, or at least more urban america.
But people who live in small countries, or the middle of no where, or are old...I doubt they know who Mario is, or even care.

Once again the two contestants go at the argument. I am honored to see that some people are almost as unrelenting as me.
Monkeydog has a point, however. Many geezers have no idea who mario is. Also, mario games package their characters in bulk, while Disney makes a new movie whenever donald takes a dump
