Music / missing mm4 song?
« on: March 02, 2005, 09:39:24 pm »
it's NSF track number 70. It's probably one of those songs you linked me, but I don't have time right now to see. I'll check in my computer classs at school, where they have high-speed.

Music / missing mm4 song?

I've never heard the song in the game, but it's in the NSF collection (NES sound files, playable in winamp with correct plugin) it's one of the last tracks in the NSF, after teh sound effects. I've never heard it in the game, but I've heard in in some flash submissions. (megaman next stage select, if you've ever played that flash) It sounds like a stage select song, but a bit faster paced.
Not important, but it's a nifty song and would make an excellent addition.

Is there a way to rip the music from, say, Starcraft or Dune 2000 into mp3 or wav format?
I searched the cd's and folders of both games. Starcraft seems to be missing music files comepletely, but Dune 2000 uses a format called .aud. Is there a way to play these or convert them? (although it's less important, I'd like unreal tournament music, and the format of the music for it is .umx.)
I'd like these songs for a flash movie I'm making, particualrily dune.

Any help is appeciated.

Music / Favorite Songs?
« on: February 23, 2005, 01:33:08 pm »
I tend to focus more on the music of a game than the game itself, so naturally I have a few favorites.

mm1: the boss music, especially when it's Wily war-ized
mm2: Heatman has an nice upbeat tune
mm3: Protoman's song at the end, with the whistling. That song is very very nice.
mm4: The boss song is quite catchy and makes me act like drillman.
mm5: Stoneman has quite an inapporpriate song for what he is. He's a rock monster, yet his stage is calm and soothing.
mm6: The boss song is pretty much all I like in mm6.
mm7: So hard to choose! Um, probably shademan secret or springman.
mm8: woodman remix. I love remade songs.
mm9: I like pretty much all relaxing songs, and Tenguman is a fine example.

mmx: Zero's theme! The one and only!
mmx2: bubble crab... Makes me wanna sleep....
mmx3: blast hornet
mmx4: jet stingray. Makes me wanna race
mmx5: Duff McWhalen. I like remixes of the old, and this is an example of such.
mmx6: Commander Yammarck. Niiiiccceeee and sooootthiiinnnggg...
I haven't played the ps2 X games

rockman dash: I like that name better than megaman legends, so I call it that. Locked up Balcon Gerald is quite the song. Good and fast, with excellent appeal.

mmz: I'd have to agree with Swiftman. The train stage was very good.
mmz2: the power plant stage. I love that slow rock.
mmz3: the opening stage, derelict spacecraft.

I love this site, becasue it has all these songs, and they're not midi's! Now, if only I could fix my dial-up problem... the problem being way too slow!

For some reason, when in my profile and I select my avatar to be a sweeping broom from ff1, it just stays as the first frame and doesn't move at all. I know they work, cause Herb has one. Do I have to upload it from a url and not from my hard drive?

I... haven't hosted any of my flash movies. I just make them so far. I have flashed up some of Swiftman's stories, though (it's easy, since he's walking distance to my house.)

Hello. I'm new to the forum, but not to the site. I use quite a bit of the music from here in my flash movies that I make.
Just breaking the ice. Kinda nervous.
