That would be Yasunori Mitsuda, who did all of the music from Chrono Trigger and Cross.

Oh crap, I totally forgot about that. I heard about that sometime last year. Either way, he should DEFINITLEY be the replacement, if he already isn't. But FF music will never be the same without Mr. Uematsu...

One Winged Angel's lyrics are ripped off Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
In addition, it gets old fast.
Dancing Mad, in the other hands, is just plain awesome.
Kefka's theme rocks, too.

Nothing in FFVII was any good. Mabye, Jenova and that one rock boss theme.
FFVI was my favorite FF soundtrack too. I just love Locke's Theme. :3

Either way, Nobuo Uematsu leaving SquareEnix was a rather bad thing, but eh, he left TONS of awesome music.
