$2,000.  You read that right.  The Revolution devkit costs $2,000.

			-
I'm not sure if that's expensive or not for a dev kit.

			-
It still is a frickin high price. I am talking in general

				I saw that.

I'd hate to see how much a PS3 / XBOX 360 devkit costs...

To anyone confused, yes, that is remarkably cheap for a dev kit.  From what I've read, the developers love it too.

Nintendo itself has not yet commented on a Revolution price point, except to confirm that it would sell for less than $299. However, if the price of Revolution development hardware is any indication, the system could be very cheap indeed. Studios tell IGN that Revolution SDKs sell for about $2,000, which is thousands of dollars cheaper than a PSP SDK, let alone an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 one.
One word: DAMN.
You KNOW something's wrong when a PORTABLE devkit costs thousands more than a CONSOLE devkit. :o

I cannot buy these things!!! Even if they are cheap in comparison!!! A few more thousand and I could buy a car with the money it costs exclamation point

(Hey, I found a computer up here, isn't that speical?)
Jason, you obviously have no idea what a devkit is, so zip it.
Hopefully Nintendo will win back the third party because of this.

			-
I do not care. I cannot buy it!!!

Yeah, I meant to link to that IGN article where I got this news from.  It's remarkably cheap, especially when it's going to be a fraction of the price of a PSP devkit, which is a fraction of the price of a 360 or PS3 devkit...
