You're thinking its just a crappy remote, but click here to see an attachment. (http://www.1up.com/do/imageDisplay?id=2308865)

Nintendo Random
-
That doesn't look like it's gonna help any...
for NES-SNES games, a control stick sucks. Gotta have the D-pad.
I really, really, REALLY hope they make ports for older controllers. I deperatly hope so.....
-
They have ports for "old school" GCN controllers, and the Revolution one can be turned on it's side for NES games. But it's going to be really freaking awkward trying to hit that B button. Really.
-
Damn you Kasai and your... being logged in.
-
Man, that looks interesting. It looks like Smash will be horribly impractical on it, unless you use the old one.
Also. . . did Mac do their styling?
-
To be honest, as I read some of those articles, a little part of me died inside... I'm losing faith in Nintendo really, really, quickly.
-
Nintendo just took a shit and died. ='(
-
god let this be only th prototype!! PLEASE!!! HALF MY SOUL DIED WHEN I SAW THAT PICTURE!!!! PLease Nintendo!! reconsider!! Im not playing the new ssb with a remote, I want to move my arm more!!!!
-
...you people don't want a revolution? Why else did Nintendo call it the Revolution?
And read 1UP's article more carefully before complaining about the remote, please...
-
I WANT a revolution, I just hate the controller, btw Idid read it,
it doesnt convince me other wise, and I REALLY hate to say this, but the Ps3 controller is starting to look better.
-
You don't deserve to be gaming. For one, Sony announced today at TGS that the boomerang is now a conceptional design. That means that Sony is going to be copying Nintendo's revolutionary controller, just like they did with the rumble pack. BTW, the Revolution remote will have built-in rumble and yet still last as long as a Wavebird does, when WB doesn't have rumble or gyroscopes at all.
Nintendo will release a conventional controller as an attachment for the default "remote" controller. The remote will then act as a gyroscope add-on to the conventional controller, which creates more gameplay possibilities. Or, you could actually contemplate what kind of revolutionary gameplay the remote can make. Can you say Jedi Knight: Revolution? And can you say REAL 3D Mega Man game? I think we're going to get Mega Man Legends 3...
-
...You have insulted me, I have my opinion, you have yours, I will respect your opinion, if you respect mine. I had no clue that sony was going to do that, I was talking bout the boomerang controller.
Oh, I know about the little joystick thing... I still dont know how I can play games such as zelda or even Mario with a controller plus that.

IGN's mock-up picture of the "conventional shell attachment"

What did you say again?
-
Well, now I kiss your shoes.
-
Are you sure that's sanitary, Razel? XD
-
Reminds me of Dreamcast. Let's hope they don't go accessory happy and gouge our eyes out.
-
I hope it comes with a spork addon. How many times have you betting eating beans, and wished you can have Mario yelling out "NNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN-TENDO! WOO-HOO!" ala Mario Kart: Double Dash!! every time you bite down? I know I have!
-
Yea from what I've read in articles its gunna be pretty good.
The fact that the controller is practically a light gun is cool too.
I am definatly gunna downloadm duckhunt(my nes light gun disapeared).
-
as long as they make that shell, i wont have nightmeres of me flipping channels with that thing as if it were actually a remote.
-
Neo, you just healed my poor torn soul.
-
It makes me wanna take a controller, and conk someone in the noggin with it.
-
In Soviet Russia, you pwnz Crystalman.
-
CJMErl: You think that's cool, you should see IGN's light-gun attachment mock-ups. They even have a concept for a new Duck hunt game!
Yami CJMErl: We'd post teh pics, but Lazlo and Jv can testament to our laziness.
CJMErl: I wanna see an arm cannon add-on for this thing. Not only would it look cool, you could play MP3 just like Samus!
-
Or a Mega Man game...
-
That would definately bring Nintendo back into the game.

Ever one plz remain calm and have faith in nintendo i mean relly has nintendo ever failed you and if so tell me because they have never did so to me.

Nintendo has disappointed. Mario Kart Double Dash is probably the worst trash to come out of EAD in its entire lifetime. The decision to not go online this generation hurt them.
But otherwise, everything else was the fault of other people, not them. For example, developers didn't HAVE to go to the inferior PlayStation, seeing as how N64 had better speed, graphics, audio synthesizer.... just expensive cartridges.

Mr. EAD forgives you.

CJMErl: XD
Yami CJMErl: Double Dash wasn't TOO bad...but we can't wait for MK DS!
-
Compared to MK64 and SMK, MKDD was trash. That's indisputable fact. Take one good look at the co-op, race tracks, battle mode, items, AI, jump (or lack thereof)...
-
Double Dash was too easy.
Super Curcuit pwnz them all.
-
Mario Kart was good, but... I prefer F-Zero, myself. [one of the few racing games that you actually can FEEL the speed]
