I'm playing Tales of Symphonia, which I finally got my hands on.
I just got Zelos, gawd is he cliched(not to mention flamming).
Oh well, I really enjoy it. I can't remember the last time I actually had a bit of fun leveling.

I have Sinow Beats blades, but not Reds. I hear they're pretty good though. Not really worth hunting, but good.
In case you're wondering, the easiest way to own is to buy a charge weapon with 50% hit in the shop and just spam the special. But you have to be like level 140-150 to get typically before those will appear.

Nope, speed boost slots don't stack, best you can get is a god/battle and that's 30% speed boost. It still has the same problems:

Considering this game was out in the heyday of the NES, I once again am convinced of DOS' superiority over nearly everything of it's time.
Then again, it's from Origin, so what can I expect other than total perfection?

Pokemon Fire Red and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection right now.
I just got Fire Red today, and it is awesome. I'm only renting Street Fighter AC for now, but Street Fighter III is probably one of the best 2D fighters out there. I can't believe I used to put Street Fighter off years ago.
Also, I got Mega Man Legends 2 a while ago, but before getting into that, I decided to replay the first one, which I got bored of last week, so now I've only played Mega Man Legends 2 for about a half hour.

I played a bit of LeafGreen and it was totally legal, and I didn't care for it. They raped the music that I loved, they added a ton of new Pokemon that I don't like, they insult me every time I start the game, and they made all the Pokemon too... cute. Has GameFreak forgotten that they're Pocket Monsters? Originally, if you thought a pokemon was cute, it was probably a Jigglypuff or Eevee. I just haven't cared for Pokemon since I lost my save file on Silver =(

I agree with the music (Square waves FTW, the GBA sound chip was never any good in the first place, so it's not the composer's fault), but I'm already up to Lt. Surge and so far the Pokemon are exactly as they were in Red and Blue. No Gold/Silver or Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon here. Plus, the Pokedex seems the same as it was before.
I just haven't cared for Pokemon since I lost my save file on Silver =(

I had FireRed and I liked it.
There isn't any added Pokemon until after the orginal game, and they're mainly the Silver/Gold ones that didn't show up in Emerald/Sapphire/Ruby.
Except it still didn't have a way to get Ampharos. =(
I hope Pearl/Diamond has two regions, I loved that in Gold/Silver.

I just played Time Crisisijidjsjdisjdissis 4 today. It was fucking awesome and shit. Some new features, are annoying, but the game is great.

I don't know what you're talking about with the interface, it gets better in each game. You can still use select for a shortcut to an item (IE: The bike) and just press A to surf/cut/whatever instead of going to the Pokemon Menu. Among other things...

Yeah, but it went down like this: I had just gotten the eighth badge, and was on my way to the Elite Four, when I had to stop playing. So I saved, and when I came back, it was gone. I was right there. I could already start walking around in Kanto. Since then, I just haven't had the will to do it again. Even though I liked the game, and I didn't even mind the new pokemon. Besides, the battery fails in every game. Fact of life. But it doesn't have to happen so soon. Boo on Nintendo for that.
But yeah, I did like most of the interface for Sapphire, even though I hated the idea of contests and the Pokenav. Kudos for trying to do something new, though. I may still buy FireRed (And get LeafGreen for my little sister that none of you know) but not until it's insanely cheap, and I begin to not feel insulted by that memory "feature"

Blue should work fine, it's the clock that raped the battery of Gold and Silver. Cherish the ability to save while you can, because mine, Yamino's, Retro's, and a bunch of other people's batteries are long gone. Hell, I've bought two used copies of Gold and they're not working.

Anyone want my copy of Silver? It still works and all.... I used to use it for a timepiece all the time... then I went on stomach clock for a while, and now with my DS, I just use it.

Another option would be to buy Pokemon Crystal, which is basically Gold and Silver. I'm not sure how long that would last, though.

Oh, and Laz I understand your complaints about Fire Red and Leaf Green. The problem isn't GameFreak/Nintendo, but rather this generation of videogamers. I'm sure most of us on this forum are children of the late 80's or the early 90's. Back then, we were used to playing games in black and white, beating it in one setting, etc etc abc 123, XTC. We have have respect for NES, SNES, Game Boy, Genesis, Master System, and other because we were raised on that crap. Most kids in this generation are well, faggots. Of course there are exceptions, but I'm sure the bulk of you are aware of what I am hinting at. I'm mostly just talking about them blabbing little kids you see at Gamestop, EB Games, Best Buy, or wherever bideo gaymz are sold.
For what I have seen, Anime, voice acting, disks and battery backup, have had a huge impact on this age group. I've seen this nonsense many times in real life, it's so annoying. When I was visiting one of my cousins last week in Penn. who claims she's a big fan of Sonic, I started asking her what her favorite game in the series was. She said Sonic Adventue, because "it was the frist one." What followed was lots and lots bitching about how the old Sonic games suck because

The thing is, Nintendo/Gamefreak has to accomidate (SP?, sorry, this computer has no spell check, and I'm typing on an onscreen keyboard because the real one is broken) these ungrateful assholes, because they have to appeal a game to a whole new generation that is used to anime, cutness, color and so on. If they didn't not many people would buy the game, because they are too used to all the luxuries we have nowadays.
The thing is most of us know that a game doesn't need all those fancy pants features to be a good game. A good game just has a certain little thing to it that makes it imposible to put down. Most kids in the late 90's and 2000's just don't understand this crap at all.

Speaking of which, this is the point you were talking about where the Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon come in, since there's seven small islands where they are found. But you get another Pokedex after you beat the Pokemon League called the National Dex, so you don't really have to go to the islands at all if you want to get the original 150.

Seriously though, TC4 is pretty good. How far did you get? I've gotten to the point where I can finish the entire game without getting hit, so I'm not playing it much anymore. The fact that there's so much spoken dialogue in-game gets REALLY annoying, though. I swear, if arcades weren't on such a steady decline, Captain Rush would be the new Peppy Hare.

I'd just go there by myself with about 10$ in quarters. That should be enough to finish it for the first time. I'm not sure what difficulty your machine is set on, but if the first black enemy in the prologue (lolkhawkejafwehfajkwelol) gets you with a red shot, it's on Hard.

Pokemon Diamond – I’ve just been leveling up my Hoothoot, Staravia and Chatot for the battle with the third gym leader. I like how the battles seem somewhat tougher in this game then in the past.
Castlevania : Aria of Sorrow - Bosses are tough, so I need to do leveling up some more.
Mega Man X8 - Ugh, Sigma is a bgrftjkgbrfngrf in this game.
God Hand - Just finished it on easy, and played through it on hard mode last weekend. Got discouraged after losing to Angra a bunch of times, but I eventually pulled myself together and beat his demon ass.
Tetris DS - I'm really trying to clear all 200 lines in normal mode. The farthest I've gotten up to is 191.
Metal Gear Solid 3 : Playing through this again. For some reason, I just can’t seem to beat The Boss. I don’t know what the hell is going on, I had no problem with it the firs time I played through the game.

The ending to that game really pissed me off, because I know they're not going to finish the storyline. It was a shitty plot twist, but they shouldn't have even introduced it in the first place if they were just going to drop the series afterwards.

Last fall, I did a huge Mega Man marathon, first playing all the way through MM1-8 on Anniversary Collection, along with Power Battle and Power Fighters, before moving on to Mega Man & Bass. After that, I hit the X series, playing through X1-X8 (the first six played on X Collection) along with Xtreme 1 and 2. I also dabbled in Maverick Hunter X as well. Then more recently, after the holidays, I finished off MHX for real, then played Command Mission and after that Battle & Chase on the X Collection. That pretty much does it for me for now!
I'm thinking about going back and playing through MM1-6 again, this time on MMAC's Navi Mode, just to see the differences. Of course if I do, I'm putting those games on Easy Mode; there's no way in Hades I'm going through MM1 again in so-called "Normal" Mode!
Eventually, I'll get around to the Game Boy Mega Man games, but for now I'm pretty much done with the series. Later in the spring, I have some Zelda games I'm going to play through: Ocarina of Time's Master Quest, Link's Awakening (the original black and white version), Phantom Hourglass, and Link's Crossbow Training.
