Snake is in there because Kojima wanted Snake to be in a SSB game, way back in the time of the dinosaurs, but HAL was almost done with the game and shit, so Kojima begged the director of the game to put him in Brawl.
Also, Sonic died a long time ago. Along with Dr. Robotnik. All that's left are these crappy games with bad collision detection and terrible camera. WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

True enough, can't say I wouldn't like to see Snake pull a bit of CQC on Mario though.
Knowing the SSB team they'll probably throw in tons more secret characters than Melee. And with Snake in the picture, I'm sure we'll see plenty of other characters in the mix.
Gameplay wise I like where its going, I really can't see myself using the Wii controller's motion detection to beat the crap out of somebody. Online play doesn't hurt either.

They confirmed you can use the GCN controller to play the game a while ago.

With wins over, Piston Honda, King Hippo, and Bald Bull, I think Mac is ready to make a jump into some REAL comp. Plus, you know he's ready to beat Mario's ass for all the bad calls he's made.

I hope that last thing about sonic being dead is just a joke. if he is dead, that means that my favorite band, crush 40, is out of a job. and they are the best R and R band ever!!!!

anyway, that aside, I think that putting solid snake in SSBB is kinda out of the box.
I mean seriously! I can see samus VS snake but frieking mario VS snake. WTF were they smoking.

why don't they just jump the shark and have wargreymon, dante, megaman, and goku too? ... what the heck, put the fonze in their too. why not? none of those would be as crazy as snake and birthday suit samus. and put cloud, lora croft, tom cruise, and the thunder lord in their while your at it.
