im pissed at pokemon
its such a deep game and super complex, and yet it reaches to little kids who cant play correctly. If they made it gorier and people died, little kids wouldnt be associated with it, and hence i could be a lttle cooler while playing it

Once silver/gold came out, it wwas ruined. Blue/red was the only good one in my eyes. (that excludes yellow too. Having pikachu at the start makes things WAY too easy, and thus ruins the beginning for me)

I used to love pokemon, I watched the show, I had red and silver, and my friend had blue and gold, and I had comics. Silver wasn't as good as red/blue. It had some neat features, but mostly it sucked. Now Yellow, that wasn't bad, I liked the idea of having a pokemon that you could see if it liked you, and that effected battle, but why couldn't it have been Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasuar? I won't even mention sapphire. However, every game I played had good battle music. Red/Blue especially, but they were all great. By the by, who played pokemon on the Super GameBoy?

I used to LOVE Pokemon. I used to get up at 6:30 in the morning just to watch the episodes of it.
One day when the games came out, my brother got Red version on his birthday. On mine I got Blue. And all was well with the world.
Then they came out with a card game. I was all like "Yeah that's kinda cool...Kinda like Magic the Gathering...I can dig it".
Then came Pokemon Staduim....And I was like "Hellzyeah. I'm getting that!" And I did get it, and loved it.
Then they come out with new seasons of the shop....Which sucked badly."Dude what is this crap? Is this really Pokemon?"
Then they came out with expansions for the decks. "Dude...I can't buy all this stuff!"
THEN they came out with new games, seasons of the shows, cards, stuffed animals, THE WORKS.
"Dude...this is just retarded now,..."
And Pokemon has been going downhill since.

Pokemon Snap wasn't bad to borrow froma friend, I could never condone buying it though...
I have to confess, I still watch the show when season 1 episodes come on.

Ah yes, Pokémon... Back in the day it was the hype. But now, it's just getting more and more retarded. Red/Blue/Yellow is where it began. Those first 151 were the best. That absolute best! Then Gold/Silver/Crystal came out... another 100 to catch... 251 monsters now. Now some of those guys weren't bad, but a few were crap. Pichu? Igglybuff? Seems they were running out of ideas so they came up with Baby Pokémon. Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald... Okay, not so bad... What was there? About 130 new monsters!? The count is at 386 or so with that damn Jirachi and Deoxys! Now their comming up with two more for DS!? There's gonna be about 450-500 monsters soon! JUST YOU WATCH!! @_@
Okay, point is too much of a good thing is bad... Admit it: Pokémon was good...

A few other things I can do without:
A) fighting enemies two steps apart from each other.
2) fighting enemeis one step away from the door...
4) ...and losing...
F) ...because of cheap computer attacks...

Sophih, that's only a problem in the caves, which you only have to go through twice before you get Surf and Fly. Then you skip SeaFoam unless you want the birdos. And I've never died because of cheap computer moves, the battle system always seemed fair and balanced to me..

I've lost to computers because of cheap moves. But my example was way off. What I mean is
Focus Energy increases the possibility for a critical blow. You use it, a critical is still rare... AI uses it, Critical for the nenxt three turns. Happens to me all the time.
Sand Attack lowers accuracy for a short period. You use it a few times, target still doesn't miss. They use it on you once and even accurate attacks miss. Happens to me!
Attacks that have a % for effects. Poison Sting; may not poison. You use all PP of the move, no poison. One Sting from them, poisoned! Again; it happens to me!
Not exaclty CPU moves, but they are cheap...

Ok, so today I traded a Psyduck for a Pidgeot, and when I got the Psyduck, it said the OT was 7777777(pokeball sprite). Now, I happen to know that my little sister's name is GBAKIRA, so I found this odd. Then, when I looked at the stats of the Psyduck, the screen locked up for a second. If I pressed A or B I got the sound that happens when you slect something. But nothing happened. Eventually it came up, but it didn't say the name level or the pokemon's types.
The Pidgeot was fine, except that it lost it's name... somehow. I think it's just an old link cable that didn't quite connect properly (we've been having trouble connecting for Pokemon and MMBN). I tried feeding some rare candys to the psyduck, but the game locked up... I wonder if I can get rid of ti, or if it'll glitch my game out forever like beating the Elite Four with a MissingNo...

To this day...I still freakin enjoy Poke'mon. I think the games now are steps better than the originals. There was just too many annoying features in the original that made me had to put it down once in a while. Sapphire is great, but the series itself needs some more tune-up.

I've got almost a complete Pokedex on red, however this may no happen because my sister and I both grabbed the Dome Fossil -_- Somewhere around my house, Pokemon Yellow is hanging out, somewhere...

Yah, I used to love Pokémon. The concept of being in a world with all these wierd and wonderful creatures REALLY appealed to me, and still does. :) It soon got out of hand though and just turned into a big money-making monster =/
Like I say, used to be a big fan, and indeed, watched the anime, played the games, played the TCG etc. etc...thankfully I'm older and wiser now and the only bit if it I can honestly say was great were the games, though I did like the TCG a lot, and not just purely for collecting the pretty cards...sadly no one else was a serious player :(
I still play the games today actually. Indeed the originals (Red & Blue) were the best, though I didn't mind later versions...but with later versions came more monsters. I liked some of the Gold & Silver ones, but yeah, stupid ones like Igglybuff and Pichu were beginning to appear...then with Sapphire & Ruby (which I've only just played really) there was no appeal to me from the monster design at all. They're clearly running out of good ideas, but they just won't stop x.x
They say you can't have too much of a good thing...wrong. You can - it's called Pokémon :P

I agree 100% with you. I used to play the card game too, but every I knew was really into it as well. Then, when we started to care less about that, Yu-Gi-Oh came out, and we played that, because it was actually a pretty cool game. After the Pharoh's whatever expansion though... it got kinda lame. Kinda really lame. Now I don't play any card games because no one is into Magic, the original, the best. I like TCG's because they offer something different.

It's kind of like Magic, a bit different, but if you know Magic, it won't take long to learn Pokemon.

Bottom line, Pokémon is a kickass game and probably was the greatest fad of our generation. You have to admit, a fad has to be pretty spectacular to last for 3 whole years.

No, the lamest Pokemon in history is Magikarp. It evolves into a demigod. Wabuffet or whatever it was at least provided some amusement in the two episodes I saw of the GS season.

That's why Magikarp is not lame. Because it evolves into such a powerful pokemon. Anyway, most of the GS pokemon I don't know/care about. Actually, any pokemon that came after that can go suck eggs for all I care.

I didn't pick up Pokemon untill I was in 7th grade due to not owning a GameBoy untill then. In 5th it was all about the Duck Hunt for me!
