General Games / Help on findong a game
« on: June 07, 2005, 12:59:31 pm »
You gave a very good description on The Journeyman Project and one reason I found it is because you said the general date it existed and that it had the word Project in it. However, a Final Fight-like SNES game on visuals alone can be near-impossible because half of the games on the SNES are basically Final Fight-like, and there really are hundreds to thousands of SNES games out there. Have you actually looked on GameFAQs yet? As I've already said, some people may recognize the game by the description because they've played it before or something.

General Games / Games avalible for download on Revolution

So, if those are really the only games downloadable... That's it? All of the games I find worth owning on that list for the N64 and SNES I already own on cartridge. Man, I was hoping it would be any game, like Secret of Mana. There goes my reason for wasting hundreds of dollars on a new console...
I see Starcraft 64 on that list. Isn't that owned by Blizzard and that company with the picture of the elephant standing on the television?

My dad pays me eight dollars an hour to mow lawns, inspect houses, change locks, etc.* with him. That's a lot of money, especially for a fourteen-year-old.
He wouldn't pay me so much if we didn't make so much per house. To mow a new house costs fifty dollars but if the grass is too high or there's too much debris, we bid it and can usually get one-hundred and fifty dollars for it. We did one lawn for two-hundred and fifty dollars that we agreed was more of a four-hundred dollar lawn because of its tall grass and hilly slopes, but we had accepted it beforehand and couldn't bid it. It was only about an hour of work, maybe two, and we still got paid what we expected to be paid.
I always tell my dad, "Remember: There are many, many people who make a lot less money an hour." He doesn't get paid by the hour, though, just by his speed in doing assignments.

* This is all done on houses that nobody lives in anymore.

Oh, GameFAQs... I haven't really been to their forums, but have you ever read any reviews for any game on GameFAQs? It's always the worst crap that people say. It makes no sense. They either bash a title or love it to death, but either way the result of their mislead feelings becomes a hideous, misshapen baby of improper grammar and misguiding strings of incomprehensible nonsense.
When I say all that, I mean I think the reviews are stupid and whether they promote or demote the game, they're just terrible reviews and the reviewers shouldn't even waste their time trying to type on their keyboard to magically make words appear on the screen.

lol ur s0 funy

Wow, I did it. Astounding.

Oh, I have a special talent, too! Wait, does a special talent need to be even mildly unique or stand out as something I can do that others can't?

Well, I guess I don't have a special talent. Not that I need one. Because I have a summer job. Which means money. And, when you have money, who needs looks and talents?
BOOYA.

I just read all that and now I'm so glad that I have the real working Mega Man X cartridge...
I just can't stand ROMs. I'd get into why, but I would make a short story long because I have nothing better to do.

About myTPH / Missing Starcraft song!

I didn't know much about the added song for a long time, but I (my dad) got Starcraft when it came out and I (my dad) got Brood War when it came out as well. All those years ago...

In the first Starcraft, all three species had three songs. In Brood War, the first song had another song added to it, making it four songs, two of them being on the first file.
So, to make it clear...

STARCRAFT: Three Songs for all three species, Three Files
BROOD WAR: Four Songs for all three species, Three Files (Two songs on one file.)

All of the songs are on the install.exe.

BWHAHAHAHAHAH!
I've found it! (I was literally giggling with excitement when I made my discovery.)
"The Journeyman Project" 1992 (1993?), Turbo! 1994
It's first person (I looked up pictures), looks futuristic and is old. TADA!
Work off that and see what it brings ya'!

By the way...
I discovered this by going to www.gamespot.com searching for "project" and looking for old games that were for a computer... system... thing. Took me just a few minutes.

Because I suddenly became interested in the game (not playing it, I just wanted to know about it) I read some reviews and a walkthrough. All three robots happen to be quite murderous and evil. The robots are in three seperate locations. There are many, many ways to die horribly.

http://www.adventurecollective.com/reviews/journeymanproject.htm These Adventure Collective people seem to have a lot of info on games like this.

Oh, during the birth of Napster, when it wasn't revealed as a place of illegal downloading, I got video game songs all the time! I would download more songs than what one would think reasonable. I'd enter an artist I'd heard of or my favorite video game and I'd listen on and on! For no reason!
