General Music / Mario Kart: Double Dash!! gamerip
« on: June 03, 2007, 12:24:09 pm »
Yes, this one's already been done by someone else too (just like Paper Mario 2), but a huge problem with the rip was that it cut out half of the Title song!  And since the entire rip was a line-in recording, that meant race tracks were recorded and cut/paste in the pause menu.  So I reripped the game, by converting all the available AST's, and recording the remaining 10 tracks in an attempt to achieve higher quality.  Also has one or two unused tracks?  (btw, track 33 kinda got nerfed in the recording process. oh well, it's only 2 seconds.)

I couldn't get the old FTP to work, maybe that died.

If you want to be perfect, Koji Kondo needs to be added as the composer for:
Email from Peach
Email from X
The End
(i didn't feel like reuploading the archive)

Wow.  I thought some of FFIVA's music sounded better than the original SNES FFIV.  FFVA definitely has some interesting re-synths compared to the original.  I <3 it.

100,000 units for launch in Japan.
400,000 units for launch in North America.
In November 2006, Europe will have 0 units for launch, because Kutaragi decided to fuck them over and make them wait till March 2007!

Did I mention 599 USD, and the Wii's DQ and FF launch titles?

Music / UPDATE [2006.08.14]
« on: August 14, 2006, 06:20:15 pm »
Surprise, surprise!  I know there hasn't been an update in a long time, but now I present my recording of Video Games Live from August 12 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis.  The recording was done from my Zen Vision:M's mic, and was converted to MP3 from IMA ADPCM 16KHz waves.

There are seventeen tracks total, not counting Classic Arcade Medley, Space Invaders Live, and Frogger Live, which couldn't be included due to audience noise/participation.

You can grab the concert here.

General Music / Machinae Supremacy - Redeemer
« on: April 06, 2006, 09:18:01 pm »
I recommend you all check it out ;).  It's better than Dues Ex Machinae (their first album).  I'm not going to lead you directly to the entire album (let's just say it can be found at the usual place(s)), since I think they really deserve the money (they're entirely independent now), so here's three tracks from the album:

General Games / The DS Lite...
« on: March 01, 2006, 08:32:14 pm »
...is sold out.  That's right folks, it's March 2nd in Japan right now and the DS Lite is ALREADY SOLD OUT.

Nintendo only plans to ship 650,000 DS and DS Lite units combined in Japan for March.  When do you think the Japanese gamers will take to the street rioting? ;)

-Merril Lynch expects PS3 to be delayed 6 to 12 months from spring 2006 release date
-Merril Lynch expects PS3 cost to approach $900
-Merril Lynch assumes that after taking losses like Microsoft, PS3 will cost $699
-PS3 games are far from complete
-Sony stock falls
-Tokyo stock market rocked by news
-Sony Japan denies report
-Sony America all but confirms report

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6144463.html
-Movie studios cutting production of UMD movies
-Only comedy genres will receive UMD releases now
-Clearly contradicting their standpoint on "true HiDef", Sony will plan to release an adaptor to play UMDs on your TV

Various sources:
-ATRAC3 audio format is far inferior to the latest version of LAME (MP3)

Sony is failing in the console market, handheld market, and audio market.  In my experience Panasonic HDTV's can be bought for less money than Sony HDTV's which look the same.  When will Sony tank?
