General Music / Sonic 3D Blast weird-ness
« on: August 07, 2005, 05:52:26 pm »
Whenever I play Rusty Ruin, for some reason the act songs are switched (Plays Act 2 song when in Act 1, and vice-versa).  I know TPH is right because I've double checked the CD and a few other sites and I think my game's screwed up somehow o.o, not to mention I think some sound effects are missing, or they sound messed up, or they're not even supposed to be in the game and I'm just thinking things.  Like the sound effect when your score goes up when you complete an act is gone, it just plays music, and one of the final Robotnik sound effects sound reeally messed up (It's a looping sound effect, but in the Saturn version it seems to just play over itself from the first second.  Is it my copy or is the Saturn version just plain weird like that?

General Games / Sega Saturn
« on: July 23, 2005, 09:15:18 pm »
I'm gonna get a Sega Saturn for my birthday, with Sonic Jam, Sonic 3D Blast, and Street Fighter Alpha 2 (At least the one I'm bidding on does, hopefully I win, still two more days).

Here's some games I've been thinking about buying as well

Clockwork Knight 2 (Awesome underrated game, I had this when I used to have Saturn...I might still have it, but it's long gone XD)
Megaman 8 (Always wanted the superior Saturn version)
Sonic R (Always wanted this too)
SCUD:  The Disposable Assassin (I rented this way back when it came out, it's a pretty fun 2D side-scrolling shooter with some FPS parts)
NiGHTS: Into Dreams (Again...everyone who has Saturn needs to own this game, I only had a demo, always wanted this XD)

Anyone else wanna recommend some games?

General Games / Anyone else here ever post their collection online?
« on: July 11, 2005, 10:00:46 am »
You've probably seen mine in my sig.  Anyone else got one?  You can make one, but you have to be REALLY bored to do it, heh.  Hell, I was so bored I even rated every single game on the list.  Oh yeah, these are the games I actually own right now.  If I posted every game I've sold as well, I might have over 250, heh.

General / Behind The Series 3
« on: July 09, 2005, 12:24:45 am »
BTS 3 is my new Flash movie.  I'm just starting it now, and needless to say, I think it'll be my best movie ever!  Since I like comments, I'm gonna show you guys and gals the script to it so you can tell me what you think.

Behind The Series 3 script (C) 12/22/04-5/21/05 (Ouch >.>)

Scene 1: Ristar enters the stage

Headdy: Hello there, everyone!  I'm back and better than ever!  If you thought BTS was over, YOU WERE WRONG!  DEAD WRONG!  *cough*....So anyways, in this episode of Behind The Series, we're going to take a look at Ristar.  This little game was released for the Sega Genesis in 1995 by Sega.  The game...let's say....didn't go so hot in terms of sales...yet it still happens to be more popular than my game!  Anyway, in Ristar you basically play as's planet has been taken over by some evil guy...named...Greedy?  What kinda bad guy name is that?
Dark Demon: A very very crappy one.
Headdy: Yeah, makes him sound like some bad guy on a show off of PBS.  Oh, yeah.  Back on topic!  Well....that's basically a description of his game in a nutshell.  Now, let's bring him in for the interview!
(Ristar walks to the stage)
Headdy: Hi there, Ristar!  How's it going!
Ristar: I'm fine.
Headdy: Ah, that's good.  So, what got you into being in a game?
Ristar: I dunno.  I'm just a character created by some guy at Sega, ask him!  I doubt you can even answer that question yourself.
(awkward pause)
Headdy: O....kay then, heh.  Let's see here.  You're game didn't go so hot in terms of sales.  How come?
Ristar: Heh, I could ask you the same exact question.
Headdy: Well I'm not the one being interviewed, now am I?
Ristar: Well, how am I supposed to know why it didn't sell so good?
Headdy: It would help if you answered some freaking questions!
Ristar: Well, those are questions I can't answer!  I can't answer I question I don't even know the answer to!
Headdy: Well then lie!
Ristar: No!  Why would I lie about myself!
Headdy: Dark Demon!  Cut to commercials!
Dark Demon: Yes sir!

Scene 2: The Commercial

Narrator: Coming this summer!  It's the game you've all been waiting for!  MARIO PARTY 7: Kamikaze Plumber Edition!
(shows "footage" of game)
Kid: Hey, these are the exact same boards AND minigames as last time!
Narrator: No they're not!  Not with the new peripheral, The Baseball Bat (copyright Nintendo) Yes, that's right!  With the new Baseball Bat, you can play some challenging minigames...involving destruction!  Including the deestruction of your house!  Like this one minigame!
Luigi: Ah, mamamia.  This wall's in the way.  How're we gonna get through?
(kid smashes wall)
(wall disapears, in game and reality)
Luigi: Yay.
Kid: Yay I wi--
(House falls down)
Narrator: Mario Party 7!  Coming soon to a store near you....nintendo is not responsible for any death/injury related to this game.

Scene 3:  Behind The Commercial

Headdy: Look, you little star thing!  You don't like me and I don't like you!
Ristar: I never said I didn't like you!
Headdy: That may be true....but I still don't like you!
Ristar: Fine.  I'm only on this piece of crap you like to call a TV show becuase I need the money.
Headdy: You think I don't know that?!  Everyone who's ever been interviewed here only becuase of the money!  Haven't you seen the ratings?  Like, 12 people actually watch the show!  So, if you and me want the money, we're just going to have to sit through this and like it!!!  So just sit down and answer my questions!
Ristar: Hey, don't boss me around!
Headdy: I can do whatever I want!  It's my show!  You can just leave if you won't follow my orders!  I can find someone else just as good!
Ristar: Grr...THAT'S IT!
(Ristar attacks Headdy and he falls out the window)
Ristar: (Distorted)!!!!
Dark Demon: (Distorted)!!!!!!!
Headdy (falling out window):(Distorted) Agh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ristar: Uh.....oops.  I have problems controlling my anger.  Jeez, I'm sorry about that.  Didn't mean to kill your little friend there.
Dark Demon: Meh, I don't mind too much.  He annoys me sometimes.

Headdy walks in....pissed

Ristar: Uh-Oh.
Headdy: ..........I gave you a chance.  I was a nice little interviewer, all I asked from you was to answer my questions....but no.  You just HAD to push me out of the window.  I tried to repress my anger and not harm you.  WELL YOU KNOW WHAT?!  YOU JUST STEPPED OVER THE LINE!!  No one, and I mean NO ONE, pushes Dynamite Headdy out of a window, heh heh heh heh.
Ristar: Look, can we just get back to the interview and forget about everything that happened before?
Headdy: Forget this!  (laser eyes)

Ristar melts very slowly....and dies (obviously)

Dark Demon: Headdy, you just killed the only main character in that game.  Hey wait!  I have an idea!

Several moments later........

Greedy: Yeah, I hated that Ristar guy, too.  I mean, sure, maybe I took over his planet and all.  But he deserved it!  I've always wanted to kill him.....well I guess I finally got my revenge.
Headdy: Heh, yeah, he pissed me off.
Greedy: I know!  He's such an annoying little piece of crap!
Headdy: What do you have to say in your defense, Ristar?
(Zooms in on Ristar's melted corpse for a few seconds)
Headdy: Speechless, eh?  Heh, figures.  Ha ha ha.  Yeah, anyways, have you ever considered changing your name, Greedy?
Greedy: Oh, my name?  Er....yeah, I dunno WHAT Sega was thinking when they named me that!  I mean, there's tons of names I could think of that are better than Greedy!
Headdy: Heh, yeah.
Calerb: Yeah, it is.
Headdy: So, Greedy *hee hee*, what do you plan to do with your life now that Ristar is dead?
Greedy: Hmm, never thought about that.  Wanna have a party at my house to celebrate the death of Ristar?
Headdy: Heh, why not.  Dark Demon?  You coming?
Dark Demon: Sure, why not?

Scene 4: Party time!

Headdy: So, Greedy, who's all coming?
Greedy: This is it.
Headdy: Just you, me and Dark Demon?
Greedy: Yup.
Headdy: Don't you have ANY friends to invite?
Greedy: No.....
Headdy: Tell you what.  I'll bring all the friends I have to come here.  Oh, and don't move at all until they get here!
Greedy: Ok, how long do I have to wait.
Headdy: Not long....
(Headdy and Dark Demon leave)
Headdy: Heh, that sure was easy.
Dark Demon: Hey Headdy, shouldn't we get back to the show?
Headdy: Holy crap, Dark Demon you're right!
Dark Demon: But who's left to interview?
Headdy: I've got an idea!

Scene 5: Annnd we're back!

Headdy: So, Ristar.  You never answered my question.  Why exactly did your game not sell?
Ristar (Paper cut-out, and in Headdy's voice): Duuur, I dunno.  I think it was because my game is horrible!  It makes no sense and has a crappy plot!  Not like you, Dynamite Headdy.  If only Treasure had promoted your game more, you wouldn't be here hosting this Godforsaken show!
Headdy (Runs back): *pant*.  My thoughts exactly.  You see how easy things are once you follow instructions?
Ristar (cut-out again): Yes, I'm such a moron!  I will never be so stupid again!  But that's impossible, becuase I'm Ristar!
Headdy: Well, thanks for being such a great guy to interview!  See you all next time on Behind The Series!

Headdy: How was that Dark Demon?
Dark Demon: Erm, I think it looks....fine, just fine!
Headdy: Good, we'll have it on air by tomorrow?  I think we need to fix some stuff up!  Heh, you could see my hand in some of the shots, probably!
Dark Demon: Uh...tomorrow?
Headdy: Yes, tomorrow!
Dark Demon: Um, this is kind of live.
Headdy: Heh, heh, heh.  You're kidding me, right?
Dark Demon: That's how it's always been!
Headdy: Well you could've told me!  I mean, isn't that something that I should know about?
Dark Demon: I've been telling you ever since the show first premiered.

Scene 6: Ah, the memories

(On the set of BTS1)
Dark Demon: Now, Headdy.  This is the first episode, so repress your anger and don't hurt anyone!  Don't forget, this show is live!
Headdy: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
(Headdy walks away)
Headdy (Offscreen): Hello, Mario.  It's good to meet the famous plumber.
Mario (Offscreen): Hello! [M64 clip]
Dark Demon: So far so good.  Maybe he won't hurt anyo--*BANG*......I spoke too soon.

(On the set of BTS2)
Dark Demon: OK, the first episode didn't go so hot.  So this time, remember don't kill anyone onscreen!
Headdy: What if I ask you to do it backstage?
Dark Demon: I guess that'd work.
Headdy: Heh, heh, heh.

Scene 7: Back to the Future!...wait...wouldn't it be forward?

Headdy: Wow, that was a nice little trip to the past, wasn't it?
Dark Demon: Yes it was, yes it was.
Headdy: So, I guess we're done?
Dark Demon: You could say that.
Headdy: Allright, shut off the camera's and let's party!
Dark Demon: Uh...why?
Headdy: Bah, forget it!  Let's just burn Greedy's house down!  Hee hee hee!
Dark Demon: I'm game!

The End

(Alt. Ending being considered)

...Headdy: Bah, forget it!  Let's just burn Greedy's house down!  Hee hee hee!
Dark Demon: I'm game!
*Headdy and Dark Demon leave the set*
*zoom in on Ristar's corpse*
*Ristar twicthes, his eye glows red*
*cue Terminator theme*
The End....?

Led Zeppelin
Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath
Van Halen
Pink Floyd
The Prodigy
Daft Punk
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Iron Maiden
Twisted Sister
Van Halen
The Beatles
Rob/White Zombie
Michael Jackson (Yeah, I'm man enough to admit I like Michael Jackson's music, big whoop =P)

General Games / Final Fantasy
« on: June 06, 2005, 06:16:47 pm »
Anyone here a fan of Final Fantasy?  I am!  Here's what I think are the best Final Fantasies from worst to best (1 being my favorite)

9. Final Fantasy II (Japan) (I never liked this one because, you guessed it, the experience system.  This is the only FF I don't like)

8. Final Fantasy (Don't get me wrong.  It's a great game, just not the best)

7. Final Fantasy VII (To be honest, this was my first Final Fantasy, heh, so I'm one of the few who like it)

6. Final Fantasy IX (I loved how they went back to the classic settings with kingdoms and knights instead of the futuristic ettings like VII and VIII)

5. Final Fantasy V (Too bad this wasn't released in America until ANthology came out.  I heard Nintendo thought it was too hard.)

4. Final Fantasy X (I remember thinking this game would suck with voices.  I was wrong >.>)

3. Final Fantasy VII (No need to explain it, hehe)

2. Final Fantasy III (AKA VI in Japan) (Most people consider this to be the best Final Fantasy of all time.  It would be, but II is simply more fun in my opinion)

1. Final Fantasy II (AKA IV in Japan) (Don't ask me why, but I just think this is the best Final Fantasy ever made, and one of the best RPGs ever made, next to Chrono Trigger of course ;).  I purchased the original Super NES version off Ebay for only $20 last year!  This game just gets me addicted like crazy XD)

I've never played Final Fantasy XI or III (Japan).  XI because I think it's a waste of money to play any game that has a monthly fee.  And III because it's never been released in America.

General / What's your birthday?
« on: May 31, 2005, 09:27:12 pm »
Mine's August 22, 1989.  If you don't feel like doing the math, I'm 15.  I finish school when I'm 17 because I was born right before the school year!  Yay for me!

General Music / Favorite Sonic Music
« on: May 30, 2005, 10:37:27 pm »
Well, we've got Megaman and Metroid, why not Sonic.

Sonic The Hedgehog: Green Hill Zone

Sonic 2: I can't pick one...I just can't.  I love EVERY song in this game....EVERY SINGLE ONE (Sonic 2, next to some NES games a few years back, was my first game ever, along with Aladdin =D)

Sonic 3: Ice Cap Zone Act 2

Sonic & Knuckles: Lava Reef Zone Act 1

Sonic Spinball:Toxic Plant (It's the first level, I can't remember what it's called)

Sonic CD (US)- Stardust Speedway (Bad Future)

Sonic CD (Japan and Europe)- Stardust Speedway (Good Future), Metallic Madness (Present)....I love a lot of the songs in this version, it's too hard to pick one!

Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn)- Puppet Panic Zone Act 2

Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis)- Puppet Panic Zone Act 1

Sonic R- Super Sonic Racing (Song)

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine- The game music (I have no idea what to call this one >.>, it's when you actually PLAY the game, you know?)

Sonic Adventure- Main Theme (I forget what it's called, it's when you fight Chaos as Super Sonic)

Sonic Adventure 2- Live and Learn

General / My Flash movies and stuff!
« on: May 30, 2005, 10:01:50 pm »
I can't believe I've never posted my Flash movies here!  Seeing Swiftman posting his story made me want to post this for some reason, heh.  Well anyways, if you already haven't.  You can check out my stuff at (Don't have a site yet, I've been meaning to get one in some time >.>) and look in the Gallery.  Mostly I make sprite movies.  I'm slightly popular for some odd reasons unbeknownst to myself.  Anyways, most people who like my work think that this little thingie I do called Behind The Series.  Basically, it's a series starring one of my favorite game characters ever, Dynamite Headdy (But most of you knew he's one of my favs, XD) interviewing various game characters about their famous series'.  The first 2 are pure crap to me now (I've gotten a lot better at Flash).  Well, if you don't mind, watch a few of my movies and PLEASE tell me what you think of them (It helps, and gives me lots of motivation and inspiration).

Behind The Series DX- This is basically my most well-animated [completed] movie.  I'm quite proud of it.

Megaman Remixed! I took video clips of the first episode of Megaman to watch and not ask questions!  Both fans and haters'll get a kick out of it.

Adventures of Sonic Remixed! The sequel to Megaman Remixed.  Not as good, but still funny in a random way.

Megaman II Video Part 1 I was trying to record myself beating Megaman II as fast as I could, but got bored.  I only beat Woodman and stopped, heh.

SegTendo: Scene 1- This was originally going to be the first scene for my next movie, SegTendo, a Sonic and Mario crossover.  I need to re-animate it and re-write the endtire script though (It's 20 pages long >.>).  This'll probably be my best movie ever, no doubt.  The story is, dare I say it, awesome.  And I almost never think good of myself.

Yoshi and Mario's Adventure in Matt's (aka SuperYoshi)'s Room! in A little (or should I say big) comic I made around 2 years ago when I was bored.  Basically I got my little Nintendo plushies (Yes, I have plushies and I'm not ashamed of it) and took pictures of them with my Webcam and made a comic out of it (If you look closely in one of the last frames you can see my hand XD)

Oh yeah, if you want to watch the OLD Behind The Series movies, they're Here and Here

Thanks for looking at my crap!  If you got this far, you're awesome!

About myTPH / Black Mages Problem
« on: April 13, 2005, 10:08:29 am »
I just noticed that the last track is missing from TPH.  It's basically a techno remix from the Seymore battle from FFX.  I've got the MP3 of that on my computer so if you'd like, I could be able to send you the song via AIM or E-mail, Protoman.  Or unless you just forgot to upload the track, heh.

General Music / Smashing...Live! soundtrack
« on: April 13, 2005, 09:02:30 am »
I completley forgot I had this CD but seeing SSBM here, I figured I could share this beautiful CD here.  It's basically a live orchestra playing a lot of the songs from Super Smash Bros. Melee (and one big track with some of our favorite classic Nintendo game themes being played).  Anyways, I'll be converting these to MP3s today, so how would I get these up on the site?  Would I e-mail them to you, Protman, or use some sort of FTP program?

About myTPH / How exactly do you record the songs?
« on: February 05, 2005, 10:34:36 pm »
Especially that you don't use an emulator to rip WAVs.  It's been confusing me for a few days now.  Mind telling us how you get all these songs?

About myTPH / Hi there!
« on: February 03, 2005, 03:23:38 pm »
Hi, I'm Superyoshi and a HUGE fan of this site.  I've been coming here ever since around 2002 or '03 just for all the Megaman music you provide us with.  This is the best Megaman music and show site ever.  No doubt about it at all.  Anyways I came here today and found SIX new soundtracks!  I've been wanting to hear the Complete Works songs forever!  Even Metroid Prime and Fusion!  You are the best!  Thank you so much for all of this stuff!
