That's the main reason I joined DA. My memory's fuzzy, but I think one of the forums was becoming less active and I made a half assed attempt to keep in touch, that or I joined to see more Sonikku Comikuu and keep up on the now dead podcast.

I don't think many people care about forums anymore. At least the generation of MM-MMX have college and shit like that, or probably smashed their computer because they are seeing the shitty videogames of the now.
I for one only visit one forum now, or else I just occupy my time playing games of the past, or oblivion. Stuff like that.

Forums are definitely declining in popularity in today's "social networking" oriented internets.

No idea why'd you look for forums when you're not having interests and hobbies. You can probably find a forum for any interest with large enough a community if you really look for it.
