UPDATE [2005.08.13]
« on: August 13, 2005, 08:18:54 pm »
one out of nine

Direct downloads are back!!

You heard that right ... you've got a one in nine chance of getting what you want right now, no holds barred. Of course, you might not even know what you want yet, considering I've also added all of the music faithful TPH co-conspirator neothe0ne has been ripping over the past few months!

I also decided to cut all the nonunique content, which means that things that are sold on CD in Japan (e.g. the Rockman Zero Remixed tracks) are no longer available here on TPH. Sorry, but I thought that all that bandwidth would be better used transferring things we've ripped ourselves than things you can just go into a store (online, if necessary) and buy.

As always I'm very open to any and all feedback about the new system. Let me know what you think!

you are not going to believe this, but it's been on my (otherwise very clean and minimalist) desktop in a folder called superyoshi ever since you gave it to me. problem is that i don't know what to set the tags to (e.g. artist) when i encode it to mp3 so it's just kind of sitting there ... :/

actually, wait, superyoshi, i just realized that thing's a cd rip, isn't it? :/ that means i can't post it under the new rules ... which are that i only accept things people have recorded themselves from games. the reasoning is that the cd rips tend to be a LOT more popular than the amateur recording stuff, so i can put up a lot more each day if i cut the cd rips ... sorry for leading you on like that. thanks for the music, though. :P

Have fun.  I'm not sure if Macs can open .zip files though.

To make a long story short, yes.

Yeah, I recorded SSBM and SSB.  You'll find that every other online source of those games' soundtracks are incomplete :(.  EmuParadise has SSBM, but it's missing tracks.  A USF rip was made of SSB, but that's incomplete.

Also Protoman, you can remove my rip of Rockman 4 Complete Works ;)  I didn't know you had done it back then, and I was too lazy to delete it from the FTP earlier.

Wow, I'm slow today.  Star Wars Episode III, 40 Years of John Williams, Halo 2, Guild Wars, and Green Day are all CD rips.  You can get rid of those.
agerly anticipating:
Super Smash Bros. Revolution, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and last but not least, DDR SuperNOVA!

yeah, i moved those back to my rips. if you want to save me much-needed space, you can just delete them off your ftp. ;) btw, the groups key won't update (to show those aren't there anymore) until midnight central time tonight when the available group changes.

and as for the torrents, sorry ... torrent just isn't a viable option for tph. too much content + too little interest = a hell of a lot of wasted bandwidth and exponentially fewer satisfied "customers".
