At a rave party in Utah, called Versus 2, SWAT police, decked out in full body armor, toting assault rifles, and launching tear gas, stepped WAY over the line of proper police behavior. The party was completely legal, with permits acquired, and on private property.

Numerous people were beaten, and had attack dogs set on them, despite the fact that most of them were not doing anything wrong. Multiple people were beaten and arrested merely for asking "What's going on?"

People who were videotaping what was happening were ordered to hand over their cameras, or face arrest. They weren't just ordered to shut the cameras off, they were ordered to give them to the police, or put them on the ground and leave.

I'm disgusted by this.

That's sickingly pathetic. The cops here rock my socks off. You have to be doing some real bad shit to get in trouble here, otherwise they just ask if you're having a good time, give ya a warning, and leave.

It's about time law enforcement did something useful. I mean they would be far too busy to pull me over for doing 116 in a 25... for the fifth time.

Your place sounds like where I used to live, Jody. One time, my friends and I were launching bottle rockets (big ones) at people, the cops came by and told us to go do it somewhere else.

Well most of the people here are friends with the cops, cuz' they're badass. Like there's this guy Officer Joe, he comes and talks to me when I'm in in-school-suspension. XD It's so funny. And if it's him or some other cops, we're all friends with them anyway, so they just tell us to go somewhere else or just let us keep doing whatever we're doing. I love it.

I lack such relationships with authorities of any kind. Hell, I'm not even friends with the admin at my shcool. I'm on the brink of expulsion, and if it weren't for my uber writing skills that saved my neck, I wouldn't even HAVE school now. (though, Mr Miller is the most kickass admin ever, next to Trigger)

But enough of my ramblings.

Back on topic: Everytime I'm down there, the same cop stops me for not having lights on my bike. It's always the same guy. And then there's the late night cop who tells me to go home at 1AM, but I'm all like, dude I was going home. In fact, I'd be almost there if I hadn't been stopped. Then he asks me what's in the bag I'm carrying, so I show him a bunch of video games. I guess he's asking because I might have drugs or explosives or something in there. Yeah, that'd be smart..

Because that'd be dumb. I don't need a light, becuase we have this newfangled invention called... (wait for it.) STREETLIGHTS. Ohmigosh! The streets are already lit, so why bother with a crappy battery drainer?
