Me and Yamino had a conversation about the same thing yesterday.

IGN sucks.  That's all ya need to know.

Yaminomalex: I'm not suprised at the rating it got. Most of the writers at IGN are bleeding vaginas with pubic lice.
SuperYoshi89: Yep
Yaminomalex: I mean X1-X3 had awesome graphics for their time, and even by today's standards they still amaze me.
SuperYoshi89: Yeah

And then you get all the reviews saying the graphics are decent... I've yet to read a review praising its graphics for its age, and also saying how the graphics are still good for today's standards.  They're certainly better than lots of GBA and DS games (cough cough absolutely horrid King Kong for DS cough)

About IGN:  You can't spell IGN without IGNorant.

I think you mean it the other way around. (switch ign and ignorant.)

lol, that's right.

GameSpy reviewed it and gave it a 4/5.  What they confirm for us is that X3 is the "32-bit version released in Japan" and that it has the PS1 music by default and is complete with (assumingly translated to English) anime cutscenes.  The reviewer longed for Mega Man Soccer one too many times, and it was short, but...

Well, I'm sure they're using the English cutscenes for X3 (Only difference is removal of J-pop for the intro and ending, and the translations of the maverick names.  No words are ever spoken in the cutscnes).

And on Gamespy....

Developer:  Atomic Planet

This better be a typo...

It *should* be.  Last time I checked, it was an in-house Capcom project, unlike the Anniversary Collection.

I can't wait to get this game on Gamecube tomorrow.  I have always been a big Mega Man fan.

It is.

The game was devloped by Capcom Production Studio 1.

Capcom no longer cares.  *cries*

-Removal of Japanese X6 voice acting
-No new voice acting

Why do I have a feeling Capcom directed their money, time, and energy to Maverick Hunter X?  It's not like it's going to sell very much, in Japan it probably broke records for lowest selling Capcom game of holiday season of all time...

Eh, screw it.  I'll wait until I get the game myself.  I don't trust those review sites anyways.

WTF AT SNES SOUND EMULATION.  X1 is decent, but you can tell that it doesn't sound the same as the original.  Capcom used bad SPC emulation, my bet's on it.

But X2... THEY BUTCHERED IT.  My CELL PHONE can play MIDI's better than what's on the PS2 disc!

(Someone please tell me I'm wrong, and I'm just playing back the music on my computer incorrectly.. but let's just say they butchered nearly all the X2 music because the melody's instrument is shit)

non interactive menus aren't as good. . . lol

I HATE hate HATE the menus on MMAC, they take like a whole minute just to get to the game.
